Why is it wrong for Trump to suggest sending all of these illegals to sanctuary cities wrong? I don't understand the counter argument. How is this political when the same politicians are welcoming such illegal immigration, giving them free stuff they don't even give Americans and refuse to fix the problem?

It's honestly mind boggling that anyone who openly supports Sanctuary Cities would be against this idea. It makes perfect sense. The places that want illegal immigration and defend them can now have an unlimited supply. Other communities that don't want lawlessness and breaching of their sovereignty will be void of it.

    Are these blue cities racists?

Make up your mind kids. Either secure the border or give Juan a room in your house to live.

Concentrating the influx of illegals in only a few cities rather than spreading them out is wrong and petty. This is like being angry a school for not discriminating against blacks, so you send EVERY black person to that one school, rather than assimilating them in an orderly way through the country.

This is most definitely political, because Trump is doing this out of revenge, because he's been rebuked by these sanctuary cities. He's also doing this to appeal to his base. This is the second thread started by Trump supporters, showing how giddy conservatives are at treating human beings like unwanted parasites.

For the record, I absolutely agree that there is zero reason why anyone should be able to enter the country illegally. We do need border that are completely secure; no one should be able to step foot in the country illegally.

BUT....the motivation has to be right. It can't be because you think immigrants are drug-using rapists.

Is it cos he is really stupid ? In fact too stupid to realise that once they arrive in these sanctuary cities they will almost immediately head to where they wanted to go in the first, place probably with some logistical support from whoever controls the purse strings in these sanctuary cities.
I would imagine that like most migrants they will head to where they have friends and / or family, at the very least wherever there is a good concentration of people with whom they share a culture and language.

Apparently the Donald is stupid enough to believe that people who were willing to risk everything to travel many miles to cross a border will simply stay in one place once he sends them to the cities. Of course doing so will make it even harder to keep track of them once they are out of custody.

It's a plan of immense idiocy if he's serious about the problem of illegal immigration which he is not.

If we let someone in to live in our country we should at the least not unduly burden their chances of eventually becoming productive citizens who contribute to our society. This means, for example, seeing if they already have friends or family somewhere in the US, say in a town that is situated to welcome and accommodate them to the same degree the the town accommodates their current residents in need. Dumping hundreds of people on a small town is serving up failure. It only makes sense.

dumping millions in a country is serving up failure...but you cant see that. We have an immigration system, these people are bypassing that and harming the people doing it legally. Legit assylum seekers are being denied their turn by undserving people abusing the system...but you cant see that.

They are taken into custody and then checked to decide if they can be immediately returned, criminally charged or processed before an immigration judge.https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/deportation-removal-proceedings-immigration-court

    What did you think happened?

Some people in the US were probably saying the same thing when mine and your ancestors arrived here.
