I found some of the contributions to the prose competitions quite high quality, too (although my own wasn't). And if you are into smiley art, there's one PFC member who's into that, too. 😉
I did miss it, unfortunately. I'm limited in my connection speed.
Originally posted by SJ247What is the merit in having the "balls" to post crap poetry on a public forum? It's only ballsy in a Jackass type of way.
This is my point. I have no doubt there are several talented PFCers...but I haven't seen evidence of ball-ownership where public posting is concerned.
Why should anyone respect that?

Corn Holes (poem)
We meet up after work as agreed.
We meet by the steady ol' oak.
A tender kiss and a smile combine,
forbidden love between two guys.
And after we've walked the leaf padded, meandering road,
in assless chaps, our buttocks bare.
Beams of light, touched by red and yellow,
fall through nature's daywise thinning coat.
And after we ...[text shortened]... s autumn sunset is over,
fireside companionship
await

You take his poem and replace the words in it with other words describing a homosexual scenario? Are you kidding? It's juvenile mockery. High school humor.

So are you going to sue rigamortis for plagiarism?
sure you know I'm a programmer by trade, and I'm also sure you've
heard about open-source. I'm a big fan of that. And I like the fact that
it's spread into fields of artistic expression as well. (Or did it spread from
there to programming? I'm not sure. By the very definition, poetry is
open, unlike a software program, so you can hardly talk about closed
poetry.) So, I'm not a big fan of copyrighting anything really. Copyright
has a tendency to put a huge, solid block in the way of progress.
Should anyone, seriously, like to rewrite my poetry, such that it's still
obvious where they got the inspiration from, but perhaps with better
rhythm and imagery, I would hardly sue them (even if I weren't given
credit for my part of the work). Rewriting so that it's not even clear my
poem got them started is a non-issue, of course. Childish la-la-rewrites
are good for keeping a thread going (I so like how my poem is still
amongst the top threads 😏 ), and for a laugh or two maybe, but hardly
reason to get upset. But of course you weren't serious about plagiarism,
so forgive me taking the opportunity to rant a little. 🙂

Originally posted by stockenI still like your original, Stocken. Athough in Arby's version, the mental picture conjured up of a guy "meandering down the road in assless chaps," did make me laugh 😀

Originally posted by stockenWRONG, as I have mentioned before I have copyrighted the poem. Stop referring to it as YOUR poem. It is now my poem.

This is your last warning!
I'd like to share a poem I wrote with you all:

hand in hand through chill struck air.

And after we've walked through the rising darkness,
where air is filled in afternoon traffic;
where scent of food accompany us,
from city restaurants left behind.
And after we've walked by the empty playground
now hiding in growing shadows.
For the dying sun now leaving it's final traces,
warm and wise, all-knowing and all-caring.
And after we've walked by the shimmering pond,
ripples of clear water greeting evening wind,
inspiring moon and street lamp light to a dance,
guarding the treasure of day 'til sunlight return.
And after we've reached our doorstep,
our cheeks coloured in autumn chill,
our hearts filled with this ancient song.
Now that this autumn sunset is over,
fireside companionship
await
our
autumn
saturated
souls.

You should become a full-time poet, man. Although, the rhythm could be approved a little. How's this?
