Don't be getting all holier than thou with us! You also said that you wouldn't continue to support an ally if you felt they were too weak. Well, I'm just treating you as you said you'd treat others ...[text shortened]... lingness to use and abuse it comes the fact that no one trusts you or what you say fully.
Well rendered, well said.

57 pages in this thread. How many of them consist solely of people bickering with No1? What makes you think anyone else is interested in this drivel? Can't you do it via PM?
I have no problem with ths drivel, as long as it stays in game. No1 seemed to be the one to start with the personal attacks (against the player, not the RPing leader of a nation), and despite being asked repeatedly to knock it off and keep the slings and arrows in-game, he just kept on, and now he's complaining that he's just playing a game and if *we* want to make it personal, to bring it on.

What would make this interesting is a free-thinking, non-biased world press to uncover truth and expose corruption world-wide (well, at least Europe-wide, hehe).

This game, and its obvious ancestor, is called Diplomacy for a reason.

Historically, the only one of the realms with an elected leader is, of course, Venice. I don't expect someone with your lack of knowledge to realize that. I have advantages that the US lacked the biggest one being the caliber of the military leadership of my enemies being quite low while the German and Japanese General Staff were quite good. You' t as large as the Bavarians. This is the first quarter, not the two minute drill, Hungarian.
This is what I have a problem with: Your continued disrespect ("someone with your lack of knowledge" ) and disregard for the other players in this game ("the calibur of the military leadership of my enemies being quite low" ).

If we suck so badly, then by all means, beat us. Should be easy, eh? I mean since we suck so badly, and all.

🙁

In general, I don't trust mailing my turnfiles. Here's a reason why:

Only if someone was nice enough to mail you the turnfile. But don't ask me.

On second thoughts, is there any reason why not? Fellow players?

EDIT: Actually, there is. I don't want anyone else to know my troop dispensation ie how they're split. Opponents only get an overview of what's in a province and not whether they're in a fortification or not. This makes a difference in your ability to move those troops.

Yes, deceit, duplicitousness and backstabbing are all part of the game. So's loyalty. The problem is figuring out who's going to play what role. That adds to the fun.

Has nobody read the Mameluke Sultan's proclamation? While you lot are dismembering Venice for the sake of his personality, a Jihad is in preparation. With the impending demise of the Venetian fleet, the Mediterranean is in danger of becoming an Arabic lake. Meanwhile, as you weaken yourselves internally, the Golden Horde gathers strength. Must history repeat itself yet again?
Yup. No1's ratings are wrong. The Horde is a major force to be aware of and should be at least in the top five. Luckily for me it's a problem to be faced by the likes of Hungary, Poland and Lithuania.

Roum is another to watch out for. Sneaky towelheads.

I'm not anywhere near you. Probably won't be in the near future either.

I hope I can build a fleet as soon as possible, so I can drop a huge army on england. 😛

Does it? I find I can pull units into and out of garrisons easily, and any unit in a province with a fort will use that fort unless there isn't room or it's been told not to.

Troops outside a fortification are better. I can move them then transfer to another unit and still have a move or two.
