I'm playing a game. Mostly it has to do with problem solving. To make the game experience a little more interesting, I do some goading and mocking in this thread and even in the PM's. If you children really are going to get your panties in a bunch because of that and seriously think that it will crush me if you all band together to teach me a lesson, you're wrong. I conduct my diplomacy in the game based on what is mutually advantegeous based on the game system; if you do not, that's up to you. I have given specific critiques of what I feel is being done wrong by some people; they are free to disagree and conduct themselves accordingly. This is the "Medieval Diplomacy Strategy" thread; I've put some elements of game strategy in all of my posts.

The bottom line is if I lose the game because a bunch of people ganged up on me because they didn't like my personality on the internet, I don't care. I'll judge how I did based on how I conducted myself in the game system, not whether I made a bunch of kids happy.

Gold holdings count as 33% of the final rating in my system, the highest amount given to one factor.

A better question would be: how much of that province gold value has been annexed by the respective realms? It doesn't do you much good to have provinces worth 100 gold if you've only annexed 50 of it.

If people want to get all angry (as you obviously are) about some comments concerning an internet war game, that's their problem. It's a little ridiculous IMO; I guess you find that point of view "arrogant". I call it "grown up". In any event, you are perfectly free to conduct yourself in any matter you deem fit for whatever reasons you choose in how you play the game. I'll continue to have some fun with it by goading and taunting a bit here while I try to figure out how to beat back the Heathers in the game system.

Sigh. There also appear to be a bunch of imperial guardsmen behind them who may assist. The archers and machines in themselves are certainly not enough.

Do you think the Imperial Guardsmen are? If not for Hungarian intervention his force in Istria would have had to simply retreat; that was my point when you were saying I "lost" the battle. It was more accurate to say that while the battle itself was lost (as I expected it to be though I had perhaps a 1/3 chance of total victory) it was a strategic victory because I destroyed his very large army in Carinthia and had greater forces in the immediate range of the front line after the battle. Of course, the strategic situation is different with two Hungarian armies with over 800 combat strength close by.

Rob's point is valid to a certain degree, though you can get a certain amount of income from any province you own by pillaging. Perhaps non-annexed provinces should be evaluated at a lesser percentage, say 67% or 2/3. Honestly though, it's just easier to look at the list in Messages; the Power Ratings are just rough guides anyway and doing it that way saves a lot of work.

What would you suggest as a percentage value of a non-annexed province to an annexed? Give me a reasonable number and I'll redo the calculations.
