Keep the elbows in close to your floating ribs, your forearms vertical and your hands open so you still look peaceful. Tilt your head forward so your forehead and arms protect your face. You can block almost anything from there. Also watch Muhammed Ali - that guy is (was) amazing with his dodging.
Then again I haven't been in a fight since I was in eighth grade, and I lost that one totally. However I have sparred a lot and have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

I've studied for and developed my own system called "Do Wa Ei Do". It is an advanced combination of Tai Kwon Do, Judo, Kick Boxing, Tai Bo, Tai Chi, Tai Karaoke, Knick Nack Paddy Whack, Pillow Fighting, and Jarts.
