Please don't vote for your own entries. Voting is obligatory for everybody who has entered this round, and it would be much appreciated if everybody who plans to enter future rounds would vote in this round as well. And of course any other votes are very welcome, too!
Comments and discussions are not only allowed, but encouraged right from the start. I would like everybody to say something about their favourite picture. Feel free to comment on other pictures as well. The names of the photographers will not be revealed until the voting is over.
Voting will close on Friday, 24 March, 20 UT. The discussion can and should be continued after that, of course. This round will be followed by:
13. Still Life (an arrangement of inanimate objects)
14. Extended Exposure
15. Movement/Motion
16. Home (can be in your home, or just in the locality that you would regard as home)
17. Words
18. Advanced Editing
If you have questions, complaints or ideas, send me a PM. You can also contact me at rhpphotocomp@gmail.com
Enjoy!
Hold on for a moment, I just got another entry... Pleeeaaase, next time anyone can't make it in time, at least tell me that you still plan to enter and when I can expect your picture. It's much easier to create the main page for all entries together than to add some of them later.
Edit: Picture added.

I looked at them all. And Firefox is great for sorting the pictures in order of preference...

How do you use Firefox for sorting the pictures in order of preference? My love affair with Firefox is still quite new, so I haven't found out about all its secrets yet.
Originally posted by NordlysYou open each picture in it's own tab (clicking the thumbnail while pressing Ctrl), Then you can just click and drag the tabs to move them into your order of preference.

Another useful command is Ctrl-PgUp/PgDn to cycle through the tabs.

Yeah, some very good photos there folk, especially Royal Perspective which really stood out for me. Great use of camera position, good set up with attention to the background as well as the pieces, and good light.

I actually liked Chess view best, but not as it is. If the transparent squares would have been jumbled, it would be like a puzzle. All the white squares where they should be, and still not. Chess: So easy, and yet so confusing at times.
En Passant had a suiting title to a clever picture. How could I not like that one?
1) Good and Evil
2) Adjournment
3) Fate of the Enemy
4) Bon Vivants
5) Timebank Running
I am suprised that no one has voted for this delightful pic of the two girls. The thing I liked about it was how different and ironic it was. It is like they are playing in a magical land. The log cabin in the background added to this. All the other photos tended to show pieces that were serious and harsh while theirs is a Disney chess set, highlighting the irony of "Good vs. Evil".
