Try to get your opponent out of book early by playing 1.A4! and 1.H4 You don't know any theory and so this must be the solution. Of course, you will beat them in the complexities.

It's especially effective in OTB tournaments when 8 of his buddies are jammed around the table watching.

hows 'bout a person plays an otb game, gets himself into a lost position, then slit his wrists and dies...thus losing the game by timeout and pushing his rating under 1400
