Thats no good. You cannot enjoy the pleasure of being there indefinately. It is better if you resign after your opponentb has performed this graphic act.

Always assume that your opponent *will not* make one of several of those good replies you spotted for him and will instead make that *obviously winning for you* move your whole plan depends upon

Always test the water, move a piece...see what your opponent does and then put it back...You now know where he's heading for, do this a couple of times and you'll totally know what he's up to!

Therefore I only make notes in a non-English language.

I would be quite happy to receive Swedish game notes from my opponent. πŸ™‚

"Ditto"

I analysed 6 moves and ended with the comment. "I don't like this line at all".

Fortunately my opponent thought I was trying to con him and played a differant (bad) move.

Why not fool the enemy by giving him desinformation as a message pretending to be a note by mistake?

I MESSED UP SOMETHING LIKE THAT SO BAD ONCE

I typed out every imbalance and my whole plan into the message box instead of the notebook😞

Apparently he couldnt find a refutation for it so he resigned...
