Had it been rated, I would have accepted, as I mentioned. And the game wasn't necessarily a loss when I resigned (I was a pawn down if I remember corrently) but I didn't feel like having the extra unrated game in my inbox. I also mentioned that I didn't analyze the move that I blundered on, just moved...I was pretty busy.
actually I meant that you may very well fall apart when you run into a novelty, and can't rely on your book moves anymore.
my justification for this is our game where you played the Dragon. You said your book ran out at move 18, and you lost less than 10 moves later.
Originally posted by cmsMasterI thnk that saying that it nearly cost the game is an overstatement, let you equalize would be more accurate.

Originally posted by cmsMasterI wouldn't have resigned just yet but think that whites extra passed pawn will probably prove to be a decisive advantage but white is only a P up so I'd make him prove it.
Here's the game if anybody cares.
Game 2575638
How to stay below 1400 forever.
Having played a lot of 1400 players I now feel I have a criteria.
What you need?
1. Complete contempt for your opponent.
So what that he's played 400 games, the old scholars mate will sort him out.
2. Blind persistance.
What's a queen and a rook? I can still win.
3. Insane pettiness.
Must attack queen must attack queen. OH look a check!
