The following players claim timeouts in totally lost positions when their opponent is on vacation even if their vacation flag is set and they have been E-mailed with the return date.
I consider this to be unsporting behaviour and suggest we all avoid such players.

It's totally within their rights. People need to stop moaning about being timed out and start taking responsibility for their own actions. Why take on a game that you have yourself chosen the time limits for and then moan when your opponent takes advantage of those time limits. I've taken timeouts and been timed out.. No big deal. It's totally the fault of the person that was timed out.
Secondly, it may be within their rights but that does not make it sporting. Had I been these players in a totally lost position I would have had the decency to resign not try to snival a win on time.
We all have vacations from time to time, don't we? Some games go on so long it is inevitable!
I noticed these games because I am playing the same opponent 2 games and the skull came up but because he is on vacation I did not claim a time out. A few days later I checked again and noticed some games had finished. Further investigation showed he had beeen timed out.
I have still not claimed a time out and I won't. OK I am winning my 2 games but thats not the point. If I was losing I would not want to win this way.
We can show our displeasure by avoiding such players. If enough people do that such unsporting players will soon get the message!
Originally posted by Sicilian Smaugdue to the nature of the interface and the long time controls, if a player sets his vacation flag and informs you of his return, it should be respected. you can't always be near a computer and things come up. RHP allows time outs during vacations so people don't abuse the system (go on vacation for three months with a non-sub and he can only play 5 other games.) The vacation flag is there for a reason though and given a return date it IS unsportsmanly to timeout, and i agree that such players should be singled out. As well as players who refuse to resign and drag out games (this goes double for friendly games.)

Add me to your list. I generally don't take TOs when my opponent has his vacation flag up, but I wouldn't want to play a prig like you anyway.
Thanks,

If we did I would gladly slaughter you without the need of timing you out.
On your rating, why do you need to claim cheapo time outs anyway?
Could I start a list of "unsporting people who lie about circumstances so they can attack other people in the forums"? Catchy title, eh?
1) Dragon Fire
who neglected to mention that surf dude was a non-sub, and so restricted to only 6 games. Why should he have to wait 2 weeks, because his opponent was careless?
cordeira2: the games which I saw that he had won by TO in the last few days, he was generally at least equal.
Why do people feel the need to be so unsporting to their fellow players that they see fit to twist the truth to attack others. Is it some kind of complex being displayed?
