If you are abiding in Christ you will be doing good works, you will for His love towards others is real and it is always doing good. Our trust is in Christ not in the work of our hands, we are called to take up our cross and follow Him, we are told to take His yoke upon us and learn of Him. We were told by Jesus He was sending the Holy Spirit to us and if we did not have God ...[text shortened]... church, our words and deeds will come under judgment, but it’s Christ who saves us not our efforts.
Sounds like mumbo jumbo church nonsense. Now that might be fine for a church going person as long as the end result is living in righteousness and doing good works. The end result is what counts.

Did the person do good works and live righteously?
YES ? Then eternal life
NO? Cast out of the Kingdom.

Here is the flaw in your doctrine. You will post this nonsense over and over about
- you trust Christ
- you take up your cross
- you have the Holy Spirit
- who does not have Gods Spirit blah blah ..
- you are saved by Christ and not by your efforts
ALL of that is peripheral to the core teaching of Christ which is good works and righteous living.

Your doctrine is flawed because like all other Christians here talking about doing good works is considered evil and a sign of being legalistic and Pharisaical and other derogatory terms.

Your church doctrine has destroyed the same Christ you claim to trust. To me that is failure.

If you want to refer to actual words written in the Bible as ‘church mumbo jumbo nonsense’ that’s your prerogative.

It's a matter of the heart. If your heart is right with God good works will come naturally. Yet you won’t take credit for it because you would know it is the resurrected Christ living in you.

Really who is good, God and God alone.
If God’s Spirit isn’t in you can you be called good?

If we are not forgiven because of Christ, if we are not in Christ abiding in Him, and Him in us we have no part of God! If you don’t have the Son, you don’t have the Father, if you don’t have God’s Spirit you don’t belong to God.

If you are not walking in faith you can’t please God. Nothing I said implied we don’t do good works, you can not make Jesus Lord and refuse to obey Him.

We come to God because He is the Way, the Truth, the Life.

Your interpretation is mumbo jumbo. It is a bunch of phrases all taken out of context and joined together with the spit of your church pastor. Its nonsense and on the day of judgment your garbage doctrine will fall apart.

Your statement here is a good example of how stupid you are

You just cannot bring yourself to repeat the teachings of Christ truthfully and faithfully. You regurgitate the teachings of the church.

Jesus stated very clearly who he welcomed into the Kingdom of God, and who he cast out, and it has nothing to do what what you said. Your statement about good works is a watered down version of the truth.

You cannot bring yourself to view the Bible as a whole. Your entire doctrine of salvation is based upon one chapter, Matthew 25. You pretend that the rest of the Bible is irrelevant.

Actually you are not paying attention to the whole of scripture. God created us to be what, we were made in His imagine. According to Jesus’ prayer He wants us one with God the Father as He is. That is not a task we can pull off by our efforts.

An invitation has gone out for a wedding one we are to be apart of. We either accept God’s invitation, reject it, or make excuses. It is God who calls, God who justifies, and always God who gets the glory.

Can you provide evidence I am regurgitating some church doctrine?

Quote me the part that I am ignoring. What you people are doing is focusing on the road to the Kingdom of God. You
- proclaim that you know Christ
- profess you faith
- boast of your holy spirit
- that you will do good works
etc etc.. that is what you start doing, and that is fine. But that is not an end in itself. There is no eternal life for people who do that above. The above things must lead on to righteousness and good works. In the end IF there is good works and righteousness THEN eternal life is the end result.

None of those things get you into the Kingdom of God. And its not just in Matt 25. It is all over the writings of Christ and the Apostles.

Even born again Christian Saints who had the Holy Spirit were warned repeatedly by Paul that there is no inheritance in the Kingdom of God unless they lived righteously and do good works.

So it is you and your type that are ignoring the bible.

All the Christians here have the same basic doctrine of salvation by faith. It is a standard church doctrine. It is not the teachings of Christ and the Apostles.

If you look at everywhere in the teachings of Christ and the Apostles where they described who enters or inherits the Kingdom of God it is always those who lived righteously and do good works. From Matt to Revelation.

Your constant plea that those who profess their faith will have Gods Spirit and will do good works and live righteously is just plain nonsense.

More church nonsense. The whole bible is about the battle between good and evil, between righteousness and unrighteousness, between the Serpent and Christ.

People like you and your church have sided with the Serpent because your doctrine promotes sin and evil. By telling a man that he can enter the Kingdom of God by a simple profession of words of faith, you are effectively destroying any desire to do good works. I will quote FMF's relevant comment here ..Rules that do not proactively encourage and assert the need to do something might as well be encouraging its neglect..

People and churches who actively promote righteousness and good works are on the side of Christ. Jesus and all the Apostles actively promoted good works and righteousness as the way into the Kingdom of God. It is in all the Gospels, in all of Pauls writings and in Johns, Peters, Jude. They all said it. Live righteously and you will enter the Kingdom of God.

Which interpretation is mumbo jumbo and why? You are the one taking verses out of context and ignoring scripture that directly contradicts what you say.

How on earth does Kelly or his church or any church for that matter promote sin and evil? You are delusional.

Twisting my words isn’t proving a point! Nothing I have ever said promoted sin or evil, telling people to turn towards Jesus Christ is not saying you don’t do good works! You will do them yet it is Jesus not our works that saves us! If it was a matter of human effort why did Jesus have to die for us, we already had the Law!

You can quote fmf if you want, it would be better to quote scriptures. Getting Spiritual confirmation from someone who rejected Jesus doesn’t mean much to me!
