No worries. Pretty sure I have written 'said the theist' at one time or another. I think it is commonly understood that it is a generalized way of speaking.

Yes, I have argued something very similar myself in the past. Atheists 'don't have a horse in the race' when it comes to interpreting scripture and are better placed to be academically objective.

I believe that Christians can believe both things. There is a good argument to be made for either position.

Personally, I support the death penalty, but I am not fanatical about my support of it.

Something tells me there should be an accent mark over at least one of those words and probably both.

As for Ghost, he’s about as much of a mental health professional as I am an astronaut.
