Okay. I will use my own words. Worship jesus or burn in hell.
Why in the world do you give a flying rat's patootie what some people think?

Does this impact your life in some meaningful way?

According to you, when you die, you're just worm food. According to me, when you die, you'll eventually be judged, and since you reject Jesus and have no repentance for sin, you will face the second death and cease to exist. How does this change anything for you?

This is why I said I see no reason why you feel a need to "defend yourself".

You don't really believe what they say, do you? Are they really making your life more difficult?

And yet, you say their lives should be made more difficult by opposing them.

You're better off just waiting for the Tribulation. Then you'll probably be encouraged to shoot us down in the street, so you'll have your wish. Good luck with that "Mark of the Beast" thing.

Try to follow along.

Your "notebook of sins against me" contains your version of sins (according to you) people have committed against YOU.

You should fix your bowl of popcorn *before* starting the movie, that way you don't miss vital details.

I don't believe anyone here at RHP has committed "sins" against me.

What I find ghastly is the notion of torturing billions of non-Christians for eternity being represented as "perfect justice" and "ultimate morality". I don't mind people disagreeing with me, per se.
Yeah, right.

Your posting history here shows otherwise.

But no, I don't keep a notebook like you do and so I don't have the details at hand. Sorry. As I've said before it was repugnant enough sitting through it the first time. I don't go wading through the sewer to find a watch I dropped in the toilet, either.

Deflecting and dodging noted.

It was your twisted mind I was referencing, not mine.

Sure, I believe that... mmm-hmmm.

But what were you referencing? I don't believe anyone here at RHP has committed "sins" against me. So what "notebook" are you talking about? Do you have a "notebook"?

How is my discussing things with people like you and sonship and robbie carrobie "wading through the sewer"?

As I said in that thread, you treat them as though they murdered your child. Yeah, that's misanthropic, to say the least. Get a grip.
Can you quote a single post of mine in the last ten years where I spoke to someone "as though they murdered [my] child"?

I am a student of life, that's all. I have come to understand the indoctrination my culture subjects me to. I share this with you, although it is like swimming upstream.

No one knows what happens when we die. All we have are beliefs. It is weird that you don't know the difference.

I'm pagan, btw. The afterlife is for all of us. All of us.

You misrepresent. Completely. I believe we are more than a body that rots; I do not reject your jesus; and I introspect so of course I "repent" my "sins".

Have you ever wondered why your gods are so busy hiding from us? I'm sure you will claim they don't hide from us, but then you don't know the difference between reality and beliefs.

I recognize where he is at. A lot of effort and thought into a difficult decision, a growing awareness of which way the wind blows, but still a willingness to allow you to change his mind. I think you should feel honored.

I too think of myself as a student of life, granted my foundation is different than yours, but
that doesn't change what we both do, look at life around us and try to learn.

You have made some comments I have been thinking about, and I'd like to get your views
about somethings you have made comments about, God, gods, and no gods.

When I say I believe in God I'm talking about the Lord of the universe, the Creator who
made everything. I'm not talking about something that inhabits the universe, or the
universe itself, or any part of it. When you speak about God or god, or gods, what are you
thinking about, what is it you are picturing in your head? I assume we both agree that
no God or gods is the lack of either.

You give him far, far too much credit.

He's like someone who quits smoking, and then hates everyone who still smokes, presumably because they are weaker than him, but really because they still enjoy what he quit.

He's made his decision, and now he spends his time putting us down on a web forum. You cannot go back once you've burned the only bridge back. Even if he did change his mind, he could never, ever admit it here. He'd stop posting before he did that. I wouldn't exactly call what he does "awareness", and it is about as edifying as pure ignorance for the sake of ignorance, and possibly the chuckles he gets out of playing word games with us.

"Honored" is not what I feel after discussing anything with him. What I invariably feel is the need to take a shower.
