Oh I have hope for the human race, I just don't place it in the human race.

There is, if there is a "should be" than something more is going on besides, things are what they are, only because they are.

I admit I've decided to stop ignoring the elephant in the room. Christians are people, and like people they are all sorts of good and bad. But christianity, the religion, is offensive, intolerant and untruthful, and does not deserve respect.

I value religion to the extent the it reflects human's search for spiritual meaning. I believe it is crucial to our rise into enlightened civilization, a path we have barely begun. Again, I acknowledge that christians can be good family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, fellow citizens etc., but this happens despite their religion. Many or most christians just cherry pick from or else ignore the bible altogether.

I didn't invent this issue. Google "why christianity is evil" or any such phrase and have fun. Here's a taste:

Christians, and muslims and jewish too (the jews though seem content to be quiet with their belief that they are chosen) should keep their faith inside. Pagans and the secular do not need saved in the name of your evil gods.

Gods. Monotheism is a joke. Even the christian religion is full of gods, It is just the greek or roman or celtic or whatever pantheon rebranded. What entities other than the souls of animals (or at least humans) exist in the afterlife? Why should I not consider angels and demons to be gods?

Ironically, hinduism for example is commonly thought to be polytheistic, but actually all their gods are supposed to be faces of the one god.

Forgiveness of sin. If the christian god made me, using it's magic omni powers, then my existence is whose fault now? But I am guilty for being born! I spit on this evil entity, I reject it in every way, and that is the one thing that hurts it.

I feel some shame here. But, well, good fun.

And yet you hope for the 'end times' at which point billions and billions of non-Christians' lives will be destroyed, after which you believe they will be tortured for eternity. So much for the "hope for the human race" you happen to peddle.

What are we supposed to do.

Christian is a secular term without meaning.

God's children will be found righteous.

Satan's children will be cast into the lake of fire.

Why do you complain if you don't believe it is true? Do you need to control what others believe?

You might want to concern yourself with your beliefs.

For the same reason you are asking me these two questions: because it is a debate and discussion message board.

So I was right.

So what are you doing jumping up and down telling God to throw you in hell here?
