I was providing a better example than David and Jonathan.
'For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth.' = Some people are born gay.
That being the case, why would God have an issue with gay marriage?
Would you say that every gay person was born that way?
Nature or Nurture?

Besides I’m not against civil partnerships or homosexuals.

Unless they're just taking an approach of "God loves me, no matter what".

Is that in the bible
Or is that just church speak.

It should have read I am not against civil partnerships FOR homosexuals.
Sorry.

I do NOT know a gay Christian couple, or I'd ask them.

So gay people must come to the conclusion, somehow, that God and Jesus are "okay" with their sexual identity.

Basically any activity that is clearly stated to be a sin in the bible cannot be justified. Many people sin and some continue to live in sin and all people will face the judgment of Christ.
I can assure you that according to the bible there are many far worse sins than homosexuality.

Usually it boils down to not taking the entire text as literal, or maybe all the text.
Then there is the whole bit about God being love so everything will be OK in the end.
