    Cheney:

The more I hear that narrative, the more disgusted I get. God creates us, then allows satan to have his way with us. Seems like a shiitty deal to me.
    Job would agree with me.

In the of Job, a long debate FILLED with Job's great arguments against God, Job agrees with God.

So actually Job went FROM pages of your criticizing position TO repenting and agreeing with God finally.

    Job 42:1 - 6

" Then Job answered Jehovah and said, I know that You can do all things and that no purpose of Yours can be restrained.

Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?

Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand, Things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.

Hear now and I will speak. I will ask of You and You shall inform me. I had heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye has seen You; Therefore I abhor myself, and I repent in dust and ashes. "

At least you are reading the book.
    Good.

I read with a willingness to have my being changed by God.

The more I hear that narrative, the more disgusted I get. God creates us, then allows satan to have his way with us

We may say that to a limited degree God allowed Satan to attack Job.

But with Adam and Eve the race's parents, God WARNED them NOT to put themselves in a position allowing an enemy of God to attack them.

"And Jehovah God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden you may eat freely.

But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, of it you shall not eat; for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." (Gen. 2:16,17)

Chaney3's beffudled and slanderous accusation against God would only be true if God had STOPPED with saying EVERY tree of the garden was free for Adam's partaking.

So Cheney want to blame God for Adam's disobedience.
God asks Adam if he has disobeyed His command. Of course God knew.

"And He [God] said, Who told you that you are naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?" (Gen 3:11)

God made made Human beings "UPRIGHT." Man of his free will stepped away from his innocent position to be under the authority of God's enemy Satan.

"See, this alone have I found, that God made man upright, but they have sought out many schemes." (Ecc. 7:29)

You have to take Him the Person of Jesus into you.

Correct interpretation of all 66 books and every chapter does not have to be secured before one can say -

"Lord Jesus, I love You. Help Lord Jesus my unlove for You. Cleanse all my sins away according to Your own promise. You loved me Lord. I want to know You. I want You to come into my heart. Show me what it is to live by You Lord Jesus."

The excuse "Oh, I have to have the right interpretation of 10,001 difficult Bible passages before I trust Jesus to come into my heart." is only an excuse to shut your heart to God's salvation.

    Prayer of hesitant modern man.

Lord Jesus, I don't know if Your Bible says the universe is 4,000 years old, 6,000 years old, 10 billion or 15 billion years old.

But Lord Jesus I think I know that I am a sinner in need of forgiveness. Just as I am I come to you for saving. Lord Jesus show me what is most important in Your word too.

Another prayer for the weary of corruption:

" Lord Jesus, I cannot change my lustful self. I am tired of bragging about my degradation and lack of self control. I am tired of wearing my sins as a bragging badge, my shame as a trophy.

Lord Jesus cleanse me, forgive me, come into me and empower me to think right, feel right, live right by Your grace.

Thankyou Lord Jesus. He who commits pornography is indeed a slave of pornography. Unchain my mind and heart Victorious Lord Jesus. I love You. I need You to be my victorious overcomer in me."

#1. God created Adam, and knew he'd eat the fruit.

#2. God allowed satan to nearly destroy Job, and it may be still occuring with us today.

In both cases, God created all including satan, and supposedly knew exactly how it would unfold. Our free will may be overrated.

Overrated no, we choose it’s real as real as it gets either way. You seem to be of the mindset God should not have allowed us to make our choices if we and others have to live with the consequences of our choices.

Not blameless? You mean that He doesn't take ownership of what He does? I assure you
He does, more than we do.

It's like someone buying a ball, then getting pissed off when the damn thing rolls and bounces. Enough!!

If you're a sinner and have impure thoughts, look up, and thank your Creator.

    Sheesh.

You, along with many others, can go on looking at yourselves as filthy sinners who must beg for forgiveness.

    I'm done with that.

With all due respect, you apparently don't understand the Garden of Eden story and what it teaches us.

God created us without the knowledge of evil. Adam and Eve were given a clear choice. Either live without the knowledge of evil, without the free will to commit evil---or---gain the knowledge of evil for which you will surely suffer and die. Our perfect representatives (more perfect than any of us because we are ensconced with the knowledge of evil whereas they were not) literally chose free will, suffering, and death.

"Give me liberty or give me death!" - Patrick Henry
