that us marine sniper had training to protect himself, didnt help him though did it? having guns does not improve your chance of survival. so what is the point in having guns. you will give the same old stupid answer of 'to protect yourself' despite the fact that all the statstics point to the opposite being true.

everybody is interested in the root cause. more money needs to be directed into mental health groups. but even with all the good will and effort in the world it will take a long time to sort these problems out. so in the short term, it makes sense to copy the european model of gun laws as we have extremely low levels of gun crime, even our drug/gangs on the whole dont use guns.

Oh really? Why not? Isn't the military that the USA has not able to protect it's citizens from other bad countries?

It is it's own citizens that are killing each other in case you haven't noticed? It seems the residents of this country or their own worst enemies?

id say there is a huge cue of countries standing in front of america when it comes to freedom. as for home of the brave, american settlers killed most of those with their cowardly guns.
