@sonship saidRev 83:18
Medulleh how come Jehovah is the Mighty God in Nehemiah if He is not the Mighty God ?
[b] "Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on a ...[text shortened]... not the Mighty God.
Who taught you these lies? The Bible surely didn't teach you to lie this way.
"That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth."
King James Version
Please stop trying to twist my words to score cheap points
@sonship saidYou will probably find that anyone of a Unitarian bias will see Jesus (The Son) as a separate being to Jehovah (The Father).
@Rajk999
No, you do not have a new tag team partner.
So get out of the way. You cannot dig yourself out of the Watchtower hole of denying Jesus Christ as God incarnate. Shut up and see how he does.
Medulleh doesn't need to be shivering behind your ignorant coattails.
Let him (or her) answer for himself if he's so smart.
You could never pick up a bible, read it from cover to cover and deduce that The Father and The Son were the same person.
People under Watchtower teaching are taught these things about the resurrection of Jesus.
1.) The man Jesus is dead forever
2.) Jesus did not rise from the dead physically and bodily.
3.) The physical body of the man Jesus was disposed of by Jehovah after Jesus
died.
4.) Another physical body with wounds was used by Jehovah to deceive Thomas.
5.) Jesus was only invisible and had no physical body after His death.
And this is why I believe that you WILL NOT see Rajk999 or medullah ever confess that "Jesus is Lord." That is UNTIL they repent to believe the New Testament Gospel. I hope they one day repent to believe.
When you were posting this gibberish I was actually working trying to get medicines into hospitals - a bit of a higher priority than addressing your rants.
I am glad you were off doing good things instead of here denying the truth of the Bible. I am sure those at the hospital appreciated your service.
I also performed some service for some less fortunate than myself. I do not however, being this to God as a substitute to believing His word and salvation. Nor do I refer to His word and salvation as "gibberish".
Seems you are getting lots of sympathy as if I was picking on you. Well, without knowing me you insinuated that I have a picture on the wall of someone which I treat as an idol. So I thought to put your cleverness to work to prove your other concept - that Jesus is not to be confused with Jehovah but is "a god".
Enjoy the sympathy you're getting from others - an atheist or two and another Watchtower student. Do your services at the hospital by all means. When you can come back here you can prove that God as incarnate in the Lord Jesus Christ is "gibberish".
For now one other thing. Just left to reading the Bible I think by the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit people are more likely to get the revelation that Jesus is mysteriously God as a man than they would see He was Michael the archangel.
See now to your services at the hospital and thankyou for your dedication there.
Thank God for the Savior of the Son of God and remember Romans 3:20.
"Because out of the works of the law no flesh shall be justified before Him; for through the law is the knowledge of sin." (RcV)
@sonship
I'm not in a position to speak for anyone but myself. So....
1.) The man Jesus is dead forever
Jesus died, was resurrected in the flesh, and positioned at God's right hand. He is a reigning king and about to kick some serious arse and put things right on the earth. Transporter systems are not in the scriptures, and neither is "Rapture"
2.) Jesus did not rise from the dead physically and bodily.
Totally disagree
3.) The physical body of the man Jesus was disposed of by Jehovah after Jesus
died.
I don't know. It happened in the case of Moses, but I had always accepted that it went with Jesus when he ascended
4.) Another physical body with wounds was used by Jehovah to deceive Thomas.
Never heard that one from any denomination. Are you making this up as you go along?
5.) Jesus was only invisible and had no physical body after His death.
I have always thought that he heavenly realms were occupied by spirit creatures such as angels, who according to the old testament are able to cloth themselves with a fleshly body (did Jesus do the same trick?)
I have also think that those going to heaven will be "transformed in the twinkling of an eye"
Invisible to who exactly? It is clear that those of the spirit realm are visible to each other
I have a funny idea that these were not the answers that you were expecting from me, but equally sure that you will be overjoyed to hear my confirmations.
I have a funny idea that these were not the answers that you were expecting from me, but equally sure that you will be overjoyed to hear my confirmations.
I am glad to hear that the resurrection of Jesus Christ you hold as true, if I understand you rightly.
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has regenerated us unto a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." (1 Pet. 1:3)
I am happy to revise my assumption that you would not acknowledge Jesus, raised from the dead on the third day, according to the Scriptures.
I pray that the day would come when Rajk999 so humbles me CONFESSING " Jesus is Lord," is raised. "No man can say Jesus is Lord except in the Holy Spirit" (1 Cor. 12:3)
The bullet points were from the video. And the only one that I did not know of was that JWs teach another body was used to deceive Thomas.
It was the same body with the unique SIDE WOUND and not only the wounds in the hands and feet of Jesus. He ate fish before them. And over a period of 40 days He presented Himself to them with many irrefutable proofs.
The word "rapture" is not in the Bible. It means a kind of ecstatic joy. I like to be caught up in a joy with God every day.
And I hope you will see that Jehovah is both the Mighty God as well as the Almighty.
By the way, if you count the number of times Ghost and Rajk999 mention the name Witness Lee compared to the number of times I mention his name, I bet you'll see that they draw readers' attention to the name much more than I do.
I have also think that those going to heaven will be "transformed in the twinkling of an eye"
Salvation consists of three stages.
Two are instantaneous.
One is gradual and not in the twinklling of an eye.
Regeneration only takes a second, perhaps less.
That is to be born of God in human spirit.
Transformation takes a life time. It is not instantaneous.
It is the working of Christ into our soul from Him moving outward from the human spirit.
Transfiguration is His life bursting out into our physical body. This is what you read which is in the twinkling of the eye.
Do not be led astray to think transfiguration happening in a second is all the untransformed soul needs. This would be a serious mistake.
The believer needs regeneration of the new birth.
The believer needs to be transformed in the soul, in the mind, emotion, and will by sanctification of the Holy Spirit.
These are needed in preparation for the last stage of the outward transfiguration of the body into a body of resurrection and glory.
No one will want to go to heaven for any length of time with the untransformed soul as if he has never been sanctified and conformed to Christ through the inward working on his soul of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
I differentiate between the Soul and The Spirit; they aren't the same.
I don't believe that mortal man can occupy a heavenly place, which it makes it even more likely that Jesus got rid of(dissolved?) his fleshly appearance when he returned to the heavens.
Two callings yes, one bound for heavenly definitely, but a large number for the earth.
If you like both those of the earth and those of the heavens cane be saved, or ushered through.
We are in the middle of a crazy giant chess game with billions of pieces. The bad guys (black will do) don't even want most people to realise that there is a game on. They can never get check mate, so it's all about how many pieces they can take off the board. (remember, Satan was a Manslayer from the outset?).
For white, when the game has ended, it's about where you concentrate the rebuilding effort. This is my opinion.
You believe in an Anti-Christ as an individual? How do you know that they are not already here and in power?
You don't have to do it in one big answer; bite size pieces that people can understand is the order of the day, then we might get a constructive conversation going with more than three or four involved?
I differentiate between the Soul and The Spirit; they aren't the same.
I did not say they were the same.
And I talked about the human soul and the human [small s ] spirit.
And I talked about the Holy [capital S] Spirit.
If you do not understand me, again,
There is the human soul, the human spirit, the human body, and the Holy Spirit
Who is God.
I don't believe that mortal man can occupy a heavenly place, which it makes it even more likely that Jesus got rid of(dissolved?) his fleshly appearance when he returned to the heavens.
Jesus resurrected with a glorified body which He wears for eternity.
He has never put it off nor will He ever put it off.
He is forever "the MAN Christ Jesus"
"For there is one God and one Mediator of God and man, the man Christ Jesus." ( 1 Tim. 2:5)
There IS now, in the present, not was but IS - "the man Christ Jesus".
When Jesus Christ returns His physical FEET will touch the Mount of Olives.
"Then Jehovah will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fights in a day of battle. And His feet will stand in that day on the Mount of Olives." (Zechariah 14:3,4a)
Did you see that?
The FEET of Jehovah God will stand upon the Mount of Olives.
The proves that Jesus Christ is Jehovah incarnated as a man.
And the man has FEET . . . physical resurrected and glorified FEET.
He comes again as the Son of Man - meaning He is fully a man as well as Jehovah God. The Son of Man will appear at the right hand of power and coming on the clouds of heaven.
"And the high priest stood up and said to Him . . . I charge You to swear by the living God to tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus said to him, You have said rightly. Nevertheless I say to you, From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven." (See Matt. 26:62-64)
This word solidified that Jesus is that Son of Man of Daniel's vision in Daniel 7:13,14. The only difference is that in that verse it is the Son of Man ascending to the Father on a cloud to receive a kingdom. And in Matt. 26:62-64 it is the same "Son of Man" COMING down to earth from Heaven.
The point is that He is not without a body. But His body is resurrected, glorified, and in glory. He will never ever put such a body OFF as you have been told by someone.
I am focusing here on Jesus Christ rather than other humans taken to heaven. You have to see that Jehovah is a God-man now for eternity.
The other comments I might speak to latter.
Since the resurrection, on into TODAY, and on into FOREVER - Jesus Christ is the
SAME.
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes, even forever." (Hebrews 13:8)
"Yesterday" means from the day of His resurrection.
I don't believe that mortal man can occupy a heavenly place, which it makes it even more likely that Jesus got rid of(dissolved?) his fleshly appearance when he returned to the heavens.
Bite size pieces? Okay. I will try.
I agree if you mean God does not want any unglorified human beings in heaven.
And God does not want any unclothed (naked) souls in heaven.
I do not agree that Jesus in any way put off, put away, put aside the glorified body which was His upon resurrection. He wears the glorified humanity for eternity.
And He is able to make us like Himself in that regard WHEREVER we end up to live.
"For our commonwealth exists in the heavens, from which also we eagerly await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
Who will TRANSFIGURE the body of our humiliation to be conformed to the body of His glory, according to His operation by which He is able even to subject all things to Himself." (Philippians 3:20,21)
