And no, killing 31 children was not "God's will".
How do you know?

If your God figure had not answered vivify's prayers ~ instead of, as you believe, He did answer them ~ would that not-answering-vivify's-prayers thing have been "God's will"?

Perhaps, perhaps not. How can I know? Evil is his thing, though, in case you haven't heard.
You ask me how can you know? You've just claimed that the death of those 31 children was not "God's will" ~ how could you know his?

God allows most sin to flourish on the earth in these latter days. And it will get worse before it gets better. But this is because of evil, not because of God.

God is not a God of evil, that's how I know.

God answers almost all prayers. Sometimes the answer is "no".

But what if the 31 deaths are part of some plan by your God figure? How could it be "evil" in such a case?

Do you imagine that the parents of the 31 dead children prayed that their children would be safe?

If they did, and "sometimes the answer [from God] is 'no'", do you still believe there was no involvement on the part of your God figure.

As soon as something good and miraculous comes from this tragedy, you be sure and let me know, then I might consider that it was God's will, not before.

But is this a coherent belief about good and bad, your God's "will", and the purpose and effect of prayer? I don't think it is. I think what you are saying is profoundly incoherent.

They may have, they may not have. Maybe God answered "no", maybe he didn't answer at all. Perhaps the parents of these children were unrepentant sinners who didn't have God's ear to begin with.

Too many maybes to know. Do you know?

It's your right to think what you want. As it's my right to think you're being unreasonable.

To a non-believer, faith is hardly coherent. I'm not going to lose sleep over a non-believer calling me incoherent.

Are the children of parents who are "unrepentant sinners" more or less likely to die in this way ~ despite prayers asking that such a thing never happens? Does your God figure ignore the prayers of "sinners"?

Is you saying you're "not going to lose sleep" over this supposed to make your beliefs regarding good, bad, God's "will", and prayer, a little bit more coherent, and make me seem "unreasonable"?
