We do not know the future. We can be confident that we are on the correct road, but we do not know that for sure. Even if we are on the right road, no one knows the future.

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Not all Christians are in this group
They know their fate?
Is this in the Bible, or is this just a personal belief.
2 Timothy 1:6-8English Standard Version (ESV)
For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the
laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and
self-control. Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his
prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God,

Jesus said to the 12 disciples that they will sit on 12 thrones judging the 12 tribes of Israel., and to the 70 that their names are written in the book of life. Paul said that a crown of righteousness is laid up for him. All of the patriachs and prophets of ofd were told either directly or indirectly that they are one of Gods boys/girls. Mary being chosen to bear Jesus. What does that say to Mary, and Elizabeth who bare John.
Im pretty sure that there are people today as well who have had direct dealings with Christ who has appeared to them. Certainly many claim that they have had this experience but they are shysters.
