I'm talking about people who are clinically obese. You don't become obese without a long sustained period of excess eating. That is an inescapable fact..

It's not pedantry on my part, but denial on yours.

ok, on the PK scale of fatometers, how much is too much, 1kg, 2kgs, 10kgs? 20 kgs?
what shall we do? weigh everyone before they come into the Kingdom hall, 'my my
sister that's a very loose fitting dress you are wearing, are you hiding some flab under
it?' Your position is pedantic and unreasonable and unworkable in practice.
So you have a "I can't measure it" excuse for weight, but not for alcohol?
You are also making two contradictory arguments:
1. That being overweight is not gluttony.
2. That you cannot enforce any rules about weight.
If you genuinely believe 1. then you shouldn't be arguing 2.

I gave reference before in the thread. Do you always comment before read up in the subject? I guess it really is the best you can do. Typical creationists...

Don criticize me, Galve and me agree to the nomenclature of a 'cult'.
JW is a cult. Ask Galve!

its not an excuse, there is no prohibition against being over weight, in fact one would
need to prove that being overweight was a product of gluttony and this cannot be
done. Its not my fault you materialists cannot discern that gluttony is a spiritual
problem not a physical one, for these things are examined spiritually, but you are so
used to things that you can point to, feel and touch you have no spiritual discernment.
The folly of the materialist, how limiting!

No denial, being overweight is not gluttony, clinically or otherwise, its more likely to be
the product of lifestyle and food choice.

Your talking nonsense. Someone who is obese, not just a few pounds over weight, has eaten frequently and excessively for a prolonged period of time. You remove people who drink frequently and excessively from your congregation yet not those who eat excessively and frequently. Your position is a double standard and you are clearly cherry picking which Biblical principles you wish to apply and those you wish to sweep under the carpet.

I am talking pure unadulterated waters of truth, how many clinically obese Jehovah's
witnesses are there? probably zilch, for having an active share in the ministry, walking
from house to house prevents such, especially in hill country like ours, well mine,
yours is pretty flat.

Explain this to me -

How can some who drinks frequnetly and excessively be a glutton, yet someone who eats frequently and excessively isn't a gluuton?

both are gluttonous PK, however we are not a dieting club! Say i am overweight, how
are you going to prove that it is the result of gluttony?

If you cannot produce a note from a medical practioner as evidence that your obesity is resulting from a medical condition then your guilty of gluttony ie. frequent and excessive eating, you don't become obese without massively overeating. You have procdeures in place to deal with those members of your congregation who frequently and excessively drink, apply those same procedures to those who frequently and excessively eat.

You may not be dieting club, but you are an organistaion that follows Biblical principles are you not?
