If you are a 'Young Earth Creationist' of some stripe or flavour ~ and therefore don't believe Chinese civilization is more than 10,000 years old for your personal ideological reasons ~ then we do not need to talk about it. It's fine by me. As you were. 😉

Your inability or unwillingness to provide evidence for the claims you have made have no bearing on what I or anyone else professes.

I just pointed out that Chinese civilization is too old for its origin and existence to be explained by Hebrew mythology about Noah. [Just as the 40,000 year old presence of Aboriginals in Australasia cannot be explained by the Noah story either]. If you ~ Like RJHinds ~ think that Noah's family and/or descendants somehow set China/Chinese culture in motion after the flood, that's fine by me.

no i want to hear FMF tell us how he arrived at the figure of 10,000 years. So far he has produced nothing but bluster.

I looked it up. Do you have a different number as some kind of a counter claim? I am familiar with your ideology so I won't dispute whatever claim you make. I am simply curious.

He didn't say 10,000 years, he said more than 10,000 years.

And for evidence of this, I suggest looking at the references in the article.

Even if its more than 10,000 years he has had to get a figure of ten thousand from somewhere, well let him tell us how he arrived at the figure of ten thousand years. I suggest you let him tell us.

If you think my figure is wrong, give me a link to something that tells me the figure you believe to be true and I will have a look.

I am not saying if you are correct or incorrect i simply want to know how you arrived at the figure of 10,000 to base your claim. Your claim is that Chinese civilization is older than 10,000 years, tell us the mechanism that led you to the figure of ten thousand.

You sound like you yourself don't know how old Chinese civilization is. I suggest you look it up. In fact I don't mind what number or age you choose.

I have not made any claims to know, so why don't you tell us how you arrived at the figure of 10,000 years on which to base your claim of older than 10,000 years? Your inability to substantiate your claim is rather telling, did a golden eagle fly from the heavens and deposit the figure at your feet?
