So what is your take on what happens to unbelievers on the day of judgement? (That have heard of the gospel and rejected it)

If you don't mind me asking do you belong to a particular Christian denomination?

And finally, do you believe in the entire Bible or only the parts that you like?

So what do you believe happens to unbelievers?

You are in the habit of trying to catch me discussing specifics of individual bahaviour but the answer remains the same. God will judge.

God is not interested in 'believers', but in those who live righteously. Christ explained in detail the judgment process in Matt 25. You cannot misinterpret its meaning.

It is not hearers of the word of God / talkers, but the DOERS that are just in the sight of God and it is these that will be welcomed into the Kingdom of God on the day of judgment.

Those who are NOT DOERS will be cast into the lake of fire and destroyed.

It sometimes seems as if the 'we are not worthy' and 'we are incapable of being righteous' and 'we cannot help being sinners' mantras that Christians have are little more than thinly disguised excuse-mongering or a kind of self-issued licence to do as one pleases, safe in the knowledge that one is, when all is said and done, going to be "forgiven". It's either t ...[text shortened]... less misanthropy. Look at the ten commandments for instance. What's so hard about 'not sinning'?
I don't get how most Christians can't differentiate between hurting yourself and hurting others. They lump them together. Surely the latter is more

Oh dear. It's like Groundhog Day. Look I know I'm a regular here, and I'm particularly active on the weekends, but I can't be expected to type out the same things again and again, week after week. It's midnight here in Indonesia. Take a look at threads like "Dependencies for 'Christian' salvation", "What is Spirituality?", "No need to be like Christ?", or any of ...[text shortened]... f on there and it was just a few days ago. It's now officially tomorrow here, so I'm off to bed.
Fair enough, thanks.

There's also the relatively recent "Is Atheism a Belief or a Lack of Belief?" thread.

So why would unbelievers be DOERS of the word of God if they don't even believe it?

If so why were these the first words of Jesus when he started preaching?

"The time is fulfilled," He said, "and the kingdom of God is near. Repent and BELIEVE in the gospel!"

Mark 1:15

Do you believe that my beliefs are unscriptural? Or are you not sure that you believe the scriptures? So which is it?

So if I didn't state my beliefs why did you say "What I think happens to unbelievers is not what you believe."

Mark 1:15
There are all kinds of 'believers'.
From believers who profess to believe but do nothing
To believers who obey Christ.
And several categories in between

A couple chapters down in Mark 4 Jesus explains, who are the believers that please God. Professing to believe is not a virtue but doing and following the teachings of Christ is.

The sower soweth the word.
And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred. (Mark 4:14-20 KJV)
