As I said, the angle is 'beliefs and its effect on behaviour'. This is what "spirituality" is about I think. Perhaps you disagree. You and robbie believe what you do and you behave as you do. And you do so in public and therefore invite comment and debate on what you say and do. Discussion of these things belongs on this forum, surely.
Of course it does but it just seems really, really strange when you keep asking the same questions over and over and over when we have clearly answered you. I don't know if you just can't understand our answers or if you are just trying to irritate us and see how much you can push the issue.
Or you are just trying to highjack the thread from the original issue because you have no answers for them? Who knows....but it makes you very unpleasent to converse with. Sorry but that's the way it seems to me.

I tend leave it be whenever I think you have answered my questions. But I do rephrase and repose questions when I think you are dodging, deflecting, dissembling, obfuscating or contradicting yourself. As for me, I do not find it unpleasant to converse with you, and I am fairly sure I treat you with noticeably more restraint and patience than several other posters here. I think the unpleasantness you feel may well be a reflection of how on-target and uncomfortably to-the-heart-of-the-matter many of my comments and queries are.

Thanks for your honesty. But to inform you with my honesty, I never dodge, deflect, dissemble or as far as I know ever contradict myself. If you think I do these things on purpose, I do not.
But I am not perfect and will make mistakes, many at times but there is no "on purpose" with any of your observational thoughts of me.

Well I think you do dodge, deflect, dissemble etc. Constantly. Blatantly. One of the reasons I interact with you is to find out whether you do it "on purpose" or whether it is the inadvertent intellectual effect of your beliefs and your groupism.

My own opinion is that your apparent dodging, deflecting, etc. mean that you have run out of guidance from the JW organization. It is oriented more to provide materials to help JWs witness to receptive people, than it is to provide materials to help JWs witness to resistant or skeptical people like you meet on this forum.

Of course all the work your organization does "on the ground" to help people in developing countries, can make people receptive to your message. That is not available to you on RHP.

So you are calling me a lier? I guess being honest with you means nothing?

I can provide you with all the WTS publications you can read in a year. Buy I know you and the others here don't read it and in fact do nothing but complain and say "put it into your own words". Right? So when I do to please you guys then I get this.
So as usual I'm waisting my time............

I am being honest with you. I interact with you - in part - in order to find out whether, when you dodge, deflect, dissemble etc., you do it "on purpose" or whether it is inadvertent. I take it that you would prefer people to think that it is inadvertent.

I read Watchtower and Awake! regularly for many years when I lived in Japan and befriended the JW couple that used to deliver them. We often used to go out to lunch at a Denny's.

I also knew a JW couple in London who got disfellowshipped and then shunned (and suffered other kinds of psychological abuse too) by long-standing "friends". Prior to that I used to read the two magazines fairly regularly when I lived in London in the late 80s.

They were also delivered to our house when I was a kid but I only took an interest in my late teens. I once invited the JWs in and we talked for a couple of hours [we'd talked on the doorstep many a time] but my dad was a bit cross about that and said he didn't want it to happen again.

When I lived in Australia the deliveries were very intermittent.

I don't get either magazine nowadays, but I do have you and robbie to keep me in touch, so to speak, with JW teaching.

Well I've clearly stated that I'm doing nothing to dodge or deflect or decieve on any level. I hope that thought is not brought up again as I'm fairly offended by that accusation...

Spot on. A lot can be gleened from over-reactive posts.

Why so defensive and deflective? (not you, Dive 🙂 )

They do all of those things the dodging ect.....because it's their brainwashed minds and dogma from the watchtower. Usually G-man and R.C. are lock stock and step together in their answers and they always have cookie cutter answers. This cuts right back to the Watchtower society. I would bet my life that when or if JW's come to my door they will have the same answers to things as R.C. and G-man. I expect it. It always frustrates me when G-man will give you some cookie cutter pasted answer to a question asked when all He has to do is answer the question with his own thoughts. It almost as if they are not allowed to think for themselves. (I think this is where R.C. and G-man deviate slightly)

I always accept their literature.

What gets me though is that sometimes you get this pic on the cover depicting "world problems" , like a huge meteor plummeting into the Earth , or missiles flying, some hitting the Earth causing huge destruction, (maybe they're hedging their bets,eh? lol ), while other times you see scenes depicting people of different races "living in harmony", along with tigers and other animals, trees (nature in general) living with people. (people stroking tigers affectionately???). Of course after a few issues you kind of get why they have these pics on their covers - and through out the rest of the publication.

So, to make this short, I would like to thank the JW's for their free publications as they make great art for collages, etc. (I would go even so far as to say they're "inspirational". That's the pics I'm talking about, just to make that clear.)
