That was in another life. I dont do biblcal quotes anymore.
Last time I asked a guy not to come anymore because I didn't think it was going anywhere he said "two weeks from today then?"🙄

i have asked him previously to state what a cult is, he doesn't know. he does not know anything about spirituality and has no interest in cultivating an interest. Nor do i have any regrets, he attempted to portray those who are trying their very best to live by biblical principles as paedophiles. That is the type of person he is and the level he is willing to stoop to, i personally have no regrets, no , none what so ever.
Good postings Robbie. I know what you mean....

perhaps he is just glad to find someone with an interest in spirituality, its quite rare, i know, i ask people about it all the time. but if you are really unhappy you should let him know. i remember when i was studying the bible with Jehovahs witnesses and the dude came to discuss some stuff with me, i pulled out this huge Bob Marley sized reefer and lit it up, he just looked at me and asked me what i was doing, i said relaxing, he just closed the book and said that well it would be a waste of time for i would not retain anything. I kind of gave him a hard time after that but now i am really glad he took all the abuse and persisted with me, trying to help me. i shall be eternally grateful! One of the few decisions in my life i have not regretted.

its outrageous Galvo, it really is, there you are, trying your best to do some clean living and all you get is 'child killers', 'paedophiles', 'dangerous cult' , is it any wonder a person would become incensed? how can they talk about morality with anyone?

Well it's always been thru the centuries that the closer that one tries to live by God's true laws and standards is the more one is hated. Jesus said it would happen.
So if one in his life is not being asaulted by cruel talk and accusations because of their beliefs and are accepted by the masses then one needs to see why their not. This would be a sign that Jesus said would be a true identifying mark of his people....
John 17:14. & Matt 24:9.
Does this apply to Raj? Does this apply to the Catholics or other main stream religions?

If a hospital wishes to administer blood to a minor, they may do so if the consultants wish. Your attempt to portray witnesses as child killers is reflective of the type of scum you are and i have no ...[text shortened]... o, let it be noted by those who read the spirituality forum, this is the type of people you are.
LOL .. Such language. Not appropriate for a self-professed witness of God.

After all I believe we live in a country here religious freedom is supposed to be an important thing I thought. But some on this forum don't seem to agree like you do.... Thanks.
I will defend your right to freedom of religion right alongside mine and I know you would do the same. In other words you are welcome.

Right. As the Jim Jones in Jonestown. And what's the name of the other suicide cult?

If we see the catholic church as a cult, then sure, they are in the same boat.
Ridiculous for you to try and draw a comparison to JW's and the Jim Jones cult. There is nothing to suggest in the entire history of Jehovah's Witnesses that they would go down this same path. You cannot and should not persecute any religous group simply because some other unrelated whacked out cult went over the edge 40 years ago.

Its not as clear-cut as you think.

Would the general public have a right to be concerned if a JW parent deprives a child of medical care becuase the procedure requires a blood transfusion? Or should the govt step in a insist that such parents not be allowed to make such decisions.

Thats just one example. There are several others on the list that might be of concern from a public standpoint.
Fear mongering on your part. Nothing more.

As I've found,(from having tea with several JW's), is that their idea of a conversation is they tell me how it is and me complying. The last ...[text shortened]... to mention all the times I have used biblical refrences to counter their own biblical claims.
I'll tell you what, I agree with you. Of course you have a right of reply and you should. I'm not here suggesting folks agree with JW's. But I will defend their right to practice their religion and have their own viewpoint regardless of how unusual it may seem to you and I. I don't believe they should be isolated from society and treated as a "cult" whatever that means simply because they're religion is not mainstream. Ultimately while they may be opinionated and annoying at times you have to admit the average JW is not exactly a threat to society. Mostly a peaceful lot from what I can tell.

I think G75 & RC are good guys. I think they both sincerely believe what they believe.
