@kellyjay saidOur conversation is at an end Kelly until you answer the question I have now put to you 3 times:
We are born with consciousness you have nothing to connect our self-awareness to the beginning of the material world alone, without that there is no way to move to get a conscience. As children learn as they grow up in the material world their awareness of right and wrong is warped, they have no trouble saying things like "mine" or "no" when their desires run their mindset. ...[text shortened]... made of, the image that gives us rises above the material world into something a little more divine.
"Can you confirm that you understand I believe in an eternal (uncaused) universe and not a mindlessly caused universe as you stated?
A simple 'yes' will be sufficient. (I am not asking if you agree with it or not). "
@ghost-of-a-duke saidI've answered you, you cannot say the same for me.

@kellyjay saidWhere?
I've answered you, you cannot say the same for me.
All I am asking is that you confirm you understand what I believe and not something you yourself have stated that I believe.
If you can't do this, I will, from this point on, refer to you as a Muslim rather than a Christian. (As apparently it is ok to misrepresent what someone else believes in).
@ghost-of-a-duke saidYou have stated your beliefs countlessly, and as you take it upon yourself to question mine I have done the same to you, and you think because I do this I'm in the wrong, hearing and understanding does not mean accepting. You have stated religious beliefs go against science, and I bring it to you, yours does!

@kellyjay saidOne of the very last posts you addressed to me in 2022 when your integrity-wheels finally fell off once and for all, was, after years and years of me indulging you and carefully and patiently explaining my beliefs in posts written for you, you said something to the effect of...
You have stated your beliefs countlessly, and as you take it upon yourself to question mine I have done the same to you, and you think because I do this I'm in the wrong, hearing and understanding does not mean accepting. You have stated religious beliefs go against science, and I bring it to you, yours does!
"...FMF, I have absolutely no idea what you believe, you change your beliefs every day."
Now, I know you were just lashing out, but you were also demonstrating that you don't give a tinker's cuss about anyone's beliefs if they do not converge with your own and that you don't have any compunction about being dishonest about them or pretending to not know what they are when it suits you.
@kellyjay saidOkay. Tell me more about your Islamic beliefs. I'm interested.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidI am giving you an honest assessment if you want to be false that is completely up to you.
Okay. Tell me more about your Islamic beliefs. I'm interested.
@kellyjay saidIs this in reply to:
@Ghost-of-a-Duke
Yes
"Can you confirm that you understand I believe in an eternal (uncaused) universe and not a mindlessly caused universe as you stated?
And also:
"I do not believe and have never believed that the universe was created out of nothing."
@kellyjay saidYou alone have misrepresented what I believe and repeatedly told me I believe things that I categorically do not.
I am giving you an honest assessment if you want to be false that is completely up to you.
You tell me you hold Christian beliefs and I accept that. All you have to do is the same thing. The next time you make a throw away comment about me believing 'nothing made something' or in a 'mindless created universe' (when I believe neither of these things) I will simply stop engaging with you.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidYes to both and I know you are willing to say things you know to be false to make your point.

@kellyjay saidI don't claim you believe things that you have clearly stated you do not believe.
Yes to both and I know you are willing to say things you know to be false to make your point.
You find it convenient to dismiss all atheist by claiming we believe, for example, that nothing created something. - When I clearly tell you that I do not believe that, you should stop saying it.
I could do a similar thing and repeatedly say that you believe God sits on a white fluffy cloud and ignore you when you say you don't believe that.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidI never claimed that you didn’t believe in them I spoke about the beliefs themselves, you justified lying about what I believed.
I don't claim you believe things that you have clearly stated you do not believe.
