Michigan State's schedule included wins over Western Michigan, Florida Atlantic and Northern Colorado. Looking at the Sagarin ratings, http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbt10.htm it's quite possible by the end of the season Boise State will have a tougher rated schedule than the Spartans. The schedule and the opposing team's Sagarin position is as f he Broncos will wind up with a tougher rated schedule.
Chew on that, QQ.
The ADs at Boise State and Michigan State must have read this thread. http://msn.foxsports.com/collegefootball/story/Boise-State%2C-Michigan-State-sign-three-game-deal
Of course, the Spartans will take a dozen years before they have the stones to step on the Blue Field, but it's better than nothing. The Broncos do get to spank them in front of their own fans on Opening Day 2012.

As a side note, isn't it wonderful to have USC bowl ineligable? 😵
Good day for Boise State; two more unbeaten pretenders bounced. Thankfully now there's no chance of a Big Ten team making it to the BCS Championship to get trounced.
Oregon looked a bit shaky though they pulled away at the end; I think they are going to have a very tough time at the end of the year with Oregon State.

Baylor 30
Texas 22
Texas sucks.
Texas Tech looks like they aren't doing so hot after losing Leach.
Big XII teams that determine their own destiny:
OSU, OU, Nebraska and Baylor
I wonder how long it will take for short horn to post.
Originally posted by no1marauderIt will be nice to see TCU play Utah. If I may, I suggest that in order for these schools to get respect they need to schedule at least one game with an SEC opponent. In addiiton, TCU and Boise State and Utah should also make a point to schedule games together. That way there are not three unbeaten teams who basically have not really played anyone.

As for my Buckeyes, I hate to admit it but I don't think they will beat Iowa. If so, my guess is Wisconsin or Michigan State will go to the Rose Bowl. Of the two I think Wisconsin will be the better representative.
As for Oregon, I hate to say it but my Buckeyes handled them last year in the Rose Bowl. I would hate to see them pitted against Auburn or Alabama and get blown away. Then again, who is good enough to tackle the SEC? My guess is nobody. In fact, I would almost like to see Boise State tackle them just so we can silence people like yourself who think they actually belong in the title game once and for all. OF course, if they win I will be pleasantly surprised. 😵
As of right now, how many schools have a realistic shot at the MNC?
Boise State
Alabama
Utah
TCU
Auburn
Oregon
Iowa
Ohio State
How many of the teams in the rest of the nation really care about the MNC? I don't.
How many teams would still be in play and would be interested in a NC if we had a 16 team play off?
Originally posted by EladarI think the premise that people only are about who wins if their team is it is just untrue. I root for the worst team in the nation, but I still are about who wins.

Originally posted by EladarI have to admit, being a Buckeye fan I have been spoiled of late and do think about it. After losing to Wisconsin, however, and the prospect of having to play in Iowa shortly, I have pretty much written it off. :'(
All I know is how I view it. More than once I have come home from work, gone to bed and didn't give the MNC game a second thought.
Originally posted by whodeyI love the NCG regardless of who's playing in it. I simply loce college ball and have many, many favorites from around the country. All the teams in the hunt richly deserve a crack at it. Under the current system it is detestable that great teams are eliminated from contention by some computer nerd in a basement where between screwing teams out of an opportunity they eat cheetos and watch objectionale videos whilst turning genitalia yellow! Someone proposed a mid to late season open date to pit the top teams against one another or at least against ranked teams in order to clear the field. High time something like that got implemented!

Originally posted by scacchipazzoFrom what I have heard, the winner of the Alabama/Auburn match up at the end of the year will go to the NCG. That will leave Oregon to face them and the rest can eat cake!!

As a side note, what is going on at Notre Dame? I heard a member of the team died which can possibly come back on the coach or staff. Additionally, in their lose against Tulsa, all they needed to do was kick a field goal and the win the game. Instead, however, they throw an interceptoin and lose?
What is going on at ND?
