You recall Timothy McVeigh when he killed people he didn't even use a gun.
Oh yeah, that's right,
McVeigh didn't use a gun.
Neither did Manson.....
Salvador Ramos had a gun though, didn't he?

It took awhile but eventually the government passed laws and regulations regarding the fertilizer McVeigh used in his bombs:

"Primarily used in fertilizer, when mixed with other substances the chemical becomes highly explosive, the new legislation will require anyone buying more than 25 pounds to register, be screened against a known terrorist list, and require any thefts to be reported within 24 hours.

This new legislation expands upon a chemical anti-terrorism bill already in effect, but it's the first law to target ammonium nitrate sales specifically."

So a government response limiting access to the weapons Ramos used would be consistent with prior policy.

Yes, and I forget the woman's name who used a bathtub to drown her kids, if
murder is in the heart; they could do what the Boston bombers did; it is the heart
of man, that is the trouble, and laws don't stop those. Laws keep the law-bidding
doing what the laws want, locks keep people from opening doors, but laws and
locks get defeated by people who don't care about laws and locks.

Are you seriously claiming that penal laws have no deterrent effect?

Ramos had MULTIPLE guns. Expensive guns. Expensive ammo. 1600 rounds of it. About $3000 worth of just guns. Also a pistol with ammo.

I work full time and bring in a fairly good income, but I could not afford his arsenal. Wonder what he did for a living that allowed him to buy all that...Maybe somebody ought to give that a little thought...

You could buy that arsenal if you really wanted it. Remember a gun is an item of value that can be resold. It’s not simply money disappearing.

Not to those that hold the law in contempt; law-bidding people don't slatter
others. A locked door would keep an honest man out, someone who wants
in no matter what will find away. So disarming the law bidding to punish the
law breakers only serves up the law bidding into the hands of law breakers.

It’s hard to run a bath for 18 people

If I'm not mistaken, she killed them one at a time, I could be wrong, but I don't think
so.

@KellyJay
Oh THAT excuses those 18 yo murderers killing children in their classroom. She did it one at a time so what's the big deal, right?

Your posts are too vapidly stupid to "debate".

I was thinking the same about your posts No1, at least sonhouse constructs a reasonable unemotional rational argument.

What about anything I have said that excuses the death of children? I'm saying that
removing a weapon from honest people will not stop those that don't care what
laws are passed from killing others. They will always find a way; therefore, to disarm
the law bidding doesn't do squat for stopping the senseless killing.

If you can justify removing guns from the law-bidding will somehow stop those
that don't care about the law from breaking the law you could "debate the issue";
otherwise, you should insult me and act like you are above such a discussion.
