Major outages in Texas in 89, 2011 and now again in 2021.

A direct result of deregulation of the power industry.

The power companies needed to winterize their equipment but because of the stupid dereg laws passed by Texas that was just a suggestion.

Which of course by a greedy utility company, do NOTHING.

    THAT is the problem.

Yeah, regulation is SUCH a pain in the ass isn't it.
Major outages in Texas in 89.
When exactly was that. Because if it was in december, 2 month old AOC was most likely the cause of it.

I was walking to work today and slipped on some ice. Damn you, Green New Deal. One of the many reasons why the green new deal is a bad deal for America.

Some have even said that the idea for the green new deal came from a Chinese Wet market. I don't know if it's true, but people are saying it.
You saw ICE outside??? Obvious then that global warming is a hoax and the Green New Deal is a scam and totally unnecessary.

AOC is trying to give you jobs and clean energy for no damn reason.

It only counts as a job if it's in federally-funded oil or pipeline-based industries.

Do you think we should start talking about maybe stockpiling oil as fast as we can? Complicated stuff. Some here actually want to take a chance, cap all the wells, and freeze to death.? Low teens in TX tonite.

    You just did.
My question was not about the woodsmen. I put it there to once more point out that liberal posters, who are somewhat uncomfortable and confused with their positions, will avoid or dance around a point, which, if engaged, would shine a HUGE light on their skewed socialist beliefs.
The answer is obvious, of course, and by not answering, you acquiesc ...[text shortened]... you fellers ever take something straight on?
We could just link-in some cartoons to watch!! 🙂
I knew you wouldn’t react with any honesty joe I stopped answering your posts a long time ago son. I just use them to as asinine vehicles for points I’d like to make.
Everyone knows that the fossil fuel companies and Republican Texans have caused this mess by under investing in the delivery network and staying off the national grid. It’s a shame ordinary Texan children have to freeze as a result while that scumbag Republican Cruz cruises off to Cancun only to get fat ass hauled back by in chains of shame.
Will you people will ever be fit to govern?

OK, you win, I do not know about oil and energy and hydrogen, I am watching the news like you are.
But what about my woodsmen question ? Which of the 2 guys is more likely of a liberal bent? The taker, or the takee. Duchess ignored the question. That, in itself, is a question. WHY would Duchess ignore the question? Why does everyone ignore the question ? I think it is a fine featurette to discuss with our coffee this morning. 😀

Right. All over the news. Why's the lamestream media still harping on the Green New Deal when everyone knows that's got nothing to do with it? They're like "yeah windmills didn't cause THIS disaster, but.... they're still bad right?"

Was it Rush Limbaugh who came up with the idea of deflecting blame over honesty? Who had the most authentically Rush Limbaugh-like response to millions of Texans losing power and freezing?

    1. Gov. Abbott blames the Green New Deal.

    2. Ted Cruz flees to Mexico.

    3. Rick Perry saying that if they had a choice, Texans would rather freeze to death than have a functioning government.

Re number 1 and 2, you mention,...
speaking of Blame, why did yall blame covid deaths on Trump, but have blamed none the recent covid deaths on Biden? .Not One. Not one. Nada. Don't you think that he should be blamed.......like Trump was? Why not? what is the deal with liberals.

#2, Jump all over Cruz, (he shepherded his daughter down there, turned back around) but you and your liberal snarks give very little grief to the extremely nasty cruel lying Cuomo for having hidden important facts regarding the nursing homes.

Tell me, Wildgrass, if he had taken his daughter to Missouri overnight and come home, would you be just oh-so-liberally astounded as you are with his taking her to Cancun? What in the hell is the difference?? Are you romaticising the location, implying his walking on the beach? Jesus.

    You're projecting. Yall isn't me.

While I don't mind he went on vacation, I think Cruz deserves the criticism. He is one of a handful of politicians who repeatedly slams other politicians for going on vacation during crises. He likes doing that instead of governing because it's easier and gets him cheap points with constituents. Look at me, owning the libs while the world burns. You call that being a patriot?

But the award in my mind goes to Abbott. That guy's taking handouts from the energy company, deregulating the carp out of it. The energy they provide is actually somehow MORE expensive for consumers than in other states, it just lines executives pockets without doing a darn thing for the average consumer in Texas. And when the whole house of cards falls down, blame the East Coast elite? Pssh. That's not patriotism.

What we should talk about is why the stupid republicans in Texas deregulated the electric industry which is what caused the failures, at least three times since 1989.

So now you might see the reason we need regulations.

Same day biden took a snow day off, called a lid early yesterday morning.

Tell me what a senator can do, what power does he have to help in this situation?
