A direct result of deregulation of the power industry.
The power companies needed to winterize their equipment but because of the stupid dereg laws passed by Texas that was just a suggestion.
Which of course by a greedy utility company, do NOTHING.
THAT is the problem.
Yeah, regulation is SUCH a pain in the ass isn't it.
When exactly was that. Because if it was in december, 2 month old AOC was most likely the cause of it.

Everyone knows that the fossil fuel companies and Republican Texans have caused this mess by under investing in the delivery network and staying off the national grid. It’s a shame ordinary Texan children have to freeze as a result while that scumbag Republican Cruz cruises off to Cancun only to get fat ass hauled back by in chains of shame.

Was it Rush Limbaugh who came up with the idea of deflecting blame over honesty? Who had the most authentically Rush Limbaugh-like response to millions of Texans losing power and freezing?
1. Gov. Abbott blames the Green New Deal.
2. Ted Cruz flees to Mexico.
3. Rick Perry saying that if they had a choice, Texans would rather freeze to death than have a functioning government.

But the award in my mind goes to Abbott. That guy's taking handouts from the energy company, deregulating the carp out of it. The energy they provide is actually somehow MORE expensive for consumers than in other states, it just lines executives pockets without doing a darn thing for the average consumer in Texas. What we should talk about is why the stupid republicans in Texas deregulated the electric industry which is what caused the failures, at least three times since 1989.
