    https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2018/10/2/17927660/brett-kavanaugh-ub40-chris-dudley-bar-fight

The fact this actually happened is not open for debate. There are public police records clearly showing he was in fact involved. His ex-friend brought this one up and NBC vetted the story by contacting the police and there it is, the whole thing is now public.

There is so much shyte now about K I don't see how even the rabid republicans can continue supporting him. Temperment, lying, lying, lying, on several subjects.
Saying 'DO YOU' to a sitting senator when asked about his drinking? Now it has been shown conclusively he got in a bar fight in 1985, this is after he supposedly has grown up and is now a model citizen, going to church and all that.
Then lying about not knowing about the Ramirez allegations till the news reports and now there are text messages showing he knew when he was nominated, months before.

How can the rabid republicans turn a deaf ear to all this? That plus his approval rating is now the absolute lowest in supreme court history. Only Trumpites want to confirm him and for them NOTHING matters more than giving Trump a get out of jail free card.
    Same for Trump, clearly.

Did he start the fight? If he was just defending himself nobody will care.

You don't seem to understand the meaning of temperament in a SCOTUS. He doesn't have the self control NOW much less back in 1985. You didn't notice how rude and attacking he was during his performance on the oath stand? Why can't you see that is a problem for someone getting a lifetime appointment to SCOTUS?

Does it mean nothing to you he has the lowest approval rating of any other SCOTUS appointment of ANY of them? That means nothing?

Kavanaugh throws ice, Dems want the FBI to investigate and to ruin a man.

Hillary's top secret e-mails end up on Wiener's laptop, move along, nothing to see here.

Clearly. You WANT SCOTUS NOT to be an independent part of government. You WANT Congress or the POTUS to control the entire 3 part government. You don't WANT fair hearings, you WANT a fukking DICTATOR which is why Trump says (LITERALLY) he is in love with Kim Jon Un. You WANT US citizens to not have freedom of speech. That is clear. What you want is for YOU to be the dictator.
You WANT an end to the EPA. You want an end to Roe V Wade even though the majority of Americans wants that to stay. In other words, you are a destroyer not a builder.
    You want chaos not stability.
You want the US to stand alone against 8 billion people. You could care less if China ends up controlling the entire planet as long as they leave US territory alone.

THAT is what I think you want. In other words, lunatic fringe.

Breaking News: Kavanaugh may, or may not have thrown ice at someone in a bar when he was about 20 years old.

The whole temperament thing is just bias. If he was not angry enough you would be saying "look, he isn't mad enough for someone falsely accused".
If I was falsely accused of attempted rape I would have made him look laid back when testifying. Being pissed off is normal when falsely accused.

Yup, if you're going for a job as a bouncer.

Not when the job you're applying for requires of you to have the weight of the country's collective conscience resting on your shoulders and the person called to deliberate on matters of deep resounding seriousness, you would hope would have the gravitas to deal with allegations of 30 odd years ago with a degree of restraint and self control, rather than the petulant posturing of an ingrained schoolyard bully.

Kavanaugh and Hillary aren't the least bit comparable. That's because the Me Too movement is a different beast altogether. In this era, corrupt people like Hillary and Trump will still get elected to positions of power; but sexual not deviants (particularly men preying on women) are finally being stopped.

The Me Too movement doesn't give a flying fck about politics. Dems have been brought down as well as Reps, blacks as well as whites. Roy Moore wasn't about politics; it was about stopping sexual predator. I fully admit that Kavanaugh's accusations are very convenient for Dems; but again, Me Too doesn't give a fck. Kavanaugh isn't about politics, no matter how entangled politics are in this situation. Me Too is purely, and always has been, a movement about empowering to stand against predatory men, and changing the culture that allows for this.

But Republicans don't need to worry that all their chosen candidates will be stopped by accusations of being sexual predators. Trump, an accused child rapist who brags about forcing himself on women and walking in on undressing teens, got through just fine.

The problem is Kavanaugh is ABOUT politics. Just the opposite of what a sitting SCOTUS should be all about.
It is supposed to be as independent from politics as possible for humans to be.
K already said there would be reprisals during his 'performance' in the senate hearings.
His demeanor shows clearly he does not have the temperament to be SCOTUS.
This is BESIDES all the drinking, aggressive behavior and all that.
LYING under oath is a HUGE deal regardless of what anyone thinks of his politics.
