With all this nonsense of banning straws...

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/u-s-polluting-ocean-trash-alarming-rate/

Here is a CBS article (from 2015) reporting with the headline...

U.S. polluting oceans with trash at an alarming rate. ( deception #1)
as evidenced in their own article with the following excerpt:

"They found that 20 countries are responsible for more than 80 percent of the plastic going into the ocean annually. China is the worst -- with about 2.4 million tons. The United States is number 20, responsible for about 750,000 pounds"

Can anyone complete the math for me? How many "million tons" annually is the US responsible for again? I keep coming to 0.0003 million tons, which means that China alone ( not to mention the other 18 countries ahead of the US on the list ) is introducing approximately 10,000 times more trash into the ocean annually than the US...

Deceptive mixing units at its finest to sell a narrative...dishonest reporting to say the least. No doubt promptly leading liberals to implement legislation banning plastic straws in California!

We don't want facts, we just want to ban straws, OK?

    How hard is that?

I thought this was going to be about the US dumping trailer park inhabitants into the ocean.

In order for me to complain about dogs defecating in
the park I first have to ensure I pick up my own dogs crap.

This isn't a dog defecating in the park, this is China dumping four tractor trailer loads of steaming doggie doo on you front lawn, and you are just supposed to accept it with open arms...

You analogy seems to indicate that we should say nothing until 0.0000....% of the trash belongs to the US. While the other 19 countries in the top 20 decimate the worlds oceans? Good plan!

My point is; The report is intentionally misleading and the heading is completely sensationalized garbage. But here we are banning straws...

Blub blub Hey paaah, I caught me a redneck. Blub blub

What did the manky squid say to the one-eyed great white?
This hood’s just took a dive, man.

Actually. It’s pretty hard to think up fish vs redneck jokes this early in the morning.

What did the starving great white shark say to redneck Jimmy-bob as he was tipped into the ocean?
“Yo mammy so skanky, I wouldn’t eat her with your rotten teeth, let alone mine.”

Hey guys this is no joke... What’s the sentence on Alcatraz for straw smuggling? Krinkly neck straws are hotter than meth on the black market, and I’m thinking of getting in on the action!

Your link is over 3 years old.
    It is obviously an error.
    https://www.statista.com/chart/12211/the-countries-polluting-the-oceans-the-most/

And China is the biggest polluter (It's a BIG country)

But out of the developed first world nations - guess who is number 1 ???
Good old US ... leading the free world.

    THIS IS NO JOKE

Next time you use a straw
    - what would you like to happen to it?
    - what do you think happens to it?

Forget China, forget countries, assume personal responsibility.

It goes in the land fill where it uses up .0000001% of the land fills capacity.

I don't bother with straws normally, but you'll have a problem beating (that is what you're talking about right, people who continue to use straws and refuse to bow down to your dream feelings will in the end cop a beating) it out of use in places like the Phils, where they're shocked if you don't use a straw on account of hygene.

One person gets sick = how many straws - in terms of resources?

Yes wolfgang, your dog turd analogy was a fail.

You need to educate local authorities around the world boy.

Because they seem to be running out of space.
Maybe they should use your back yard.
