@PuzZuLz saidWere you on top or the bottom?
I told you where to go. Niagara Falls. You pick the time.
How is that any different than you calling me and setting something up? I publically gave the location.
I remember an old cellmate I had who was "in his early 60's and a boxer"
I made some punching pads for training and he threw his shoulder out π
@vivify saidA fetus you have no problem with letting the mother kill the baby but an actual murderer gets the compassion?
But the discussion turned into whether executions should be immediate; it is not about the requirements for conviction.
Given that convictions can be proven incorrect, immediate executions are not wise.
Libs,...I'll never understand them π
@PuzZuLz saidNowhere on this thread did I defend the man who was convicted or even discuss that guy. I simply pointed out why death row is so long.

Seriously, calm down and get laid once on a while.
@shavixmir saidTennessee needs some of that drug they use in the netherlands to kill children up to 12 years old if they have some kind of medical condition.
God damn.
What a cluster fvck.
Having someone executed is, of course, no longer acceptable.
But having them on death row for nearly 30 years? What the hell is wrong with the US?
And then, 5 minutes before execution, a stay… then within 5 minutes, the supreme court over-rules this… and the execution goes ahead.
And they botch it. Now the hospital is trying to sav ...[text shortened]... ot and every other madhatter regime full of psychotic fvcktards.
Christ. May you all rot in hell.
@Mott-The-Hoople saidWhy do you statists always have to kill people?

@Mott-The-Hoople saidUhhh… I don’t think that’s a thing dude…

The baby was severly handicapped, with no possibility of making his situation better. And the docters and parents and a judge agreed that it was more humane to let it pass.
Not quite the horror story you make it out to be and it’s not something that happens very often. Indeed, it’s the first time.
@vivify saidImmediate is not the alternative approach here. Maybe 2-3 weeks? Check some appeals courts, say your goodbyes.

The current AVERAGE time on death row is 20 years, sentenced to death before the iPhone was invented. That's way, way too long, especially considering the duration of the trials themselves are typically years in the making, and then the time for scheduling a date for execution is often years after appeals are exhausted. Tennessee and all other states that do capital punishment need to get their act together and tighten up the timeline, or just stop doing this altogether.
@wildgrass saidThere’s no excuse for still having a death penalty, in my opinion.

How can the state guarantee 100% guilt (hint: it can’t), how can the state murder people whilst claiming it’s illegal (hint: it can’t)?
How can the state claim moral superiority over any other state, whilst it’s killing people who may be guilty of something (hint: it can’t)?
How can the state overturn a verdict of someone who’s been wrongly executed? Hint: if I have to explain this one, we’re in serious trouble.
