@metal-brain saidNo Russia will lose this war Ukraine has already won this war by surviving as a sovereign state. Russia on the other hand has gone and got itself gut shot, it takes a long time to bleed out but it will bleed out. The Russians are digging in, their only hope of further advances are along the southern coast to Odesa, any positions they gain will be subject to constant bombardment for as long as they occupy those positions.
Would they rather lose more territory by prolonging the war?
Ukraine will lose this war. The Russians have lots of Azov battalion prisoners for prisoner swaps. When Russia gets their prisoners back they will talk about the torture (war crimes) they endured and the Russian people will support the war more than ever.
Ukraine can give up a little territory now or lose a lot more later.
Even Henry Kissinger says it will end in a peace deal to end the war.
The west is stepping up Ukraines shore to ship missile capacity it looks like there will be a hard and costly Odesa campaign for Putin.

Ukraine is not a sovereign state. It is a puppet government of the USA. My government overthrew Ukraine in a coup and installed a puppet dictator and you know it.
Stop lying and being stupid!

@no1marauder saidEven if there is a short term danger of nukes going off it might be worth it in the long run in terms of declawing this aggressive bear and maybe making it into a friend.
The Ukraine doesn't think "the Russian Black Sea fleet is [being] destroyed":
"Ukraine said Russia is strengthening its position in the Black Sea as it added the frigate Makarov, increasing the risk of missile attacks on Ukraine."

Robert Laneham's letter describes the spectacle presented by Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester at Kenilworth Castle in 1575:
“It was a very pleasant sport, of these beasts, to see the bear with his pink eyes leering after his enemies approach, the nimbleness and wayt [wait] of the dog to take his advantage, and the force and experience of the bear again to avoid the assaults. If he were bitten in one place, how he would pinch in another to get free, that if he were taken once, then what shift, with biting, with clawing, with roaring, tossing and tumbling, he would work to wind himself free from them. And when he was loose, to shake his ears twice or thrice with the blood and the slather about his physiognomy, was a matter of goodly relief”
.
@kevcvs57 saidVeteran US statesman Henry Kissinger has urged the West to stop trying to inflict a crushing defeat on Russian forces in Ukraine, warning that it would have disastrous consequences for the long term stability of Europe.

@kevcvs57 saidYou really don't follow military operations very closely; Russian troops are advancing steadily in Lukhansk, are close to taking the key city of Severodonetsk and could encircle the Ukrainian forces on the eastern front line in the Donbass within days:

"The governor of Ukraine’s eastern Luhansk region has said that the situation there was worsening “with every hour” as advancing Russian troops seize more territory and “completely destroy” a key city.
“The situation is very difficult and unfortunately it is only getting worse. It is getting worse with every day and even with every hour,” governor Serhiy Haidai said in a video on Telegram."

@athousandyoung saidThe stereotypes to one side Western Europe has been trying to keep imperial Russia from expanding west for centuries, this isn’t a new Cold War, it’s an old war that has reared its ugly head again because Russia cannot seem to shake off its view of itself as an imperial power. No one is baiting the bear, it’s fallen into a bear trap of its own making.

@no1marauder saidHey genius the Donbas was lost a long time ago they are losing men and materiel just trying to organise a realistic defensive line. Their next goal is Odesa which will link them up with Transnistria and open the door to advancing into Moldova another non nato member within Russias grasp.

But as already mentioned every inch they occupy will be subject to more and more devastating bombardment. Ukraine can never accept being reduced to a land locked country.
@metal-brain saidLol now we like Kissinger, I thought he was a reptilian disciple of Satan.
