The way I see it, people complain so much nowadays about prison overcrowding etc. etc. anybody who commits anything that deserves a "life" imprisonment should just be executed, I'm not saying on live TV, just executed. And anyone who gets found guilty of the same smaller crime 3 times should also be executed. I think that would have good long term crime stopping effects.

Try explaining to the family of the wrongfully convicted inmate 'oh by the way it wasn't him after all sorry about that'.
Beyond reasonable doubt isn't good enough for strict legislation as you are suggesting.

People are also forgetting that "Ordinary" or Main Location cons may themselves have commited sexcrimes on a previous sentence (or gone undetected by the law) - and even if some of them would so society's dirty work for it, all that really is happening is that we as a society are letting them reinforce their offending behaviour by suggesting that we find their behaviour somehow more "acceptable" than that of a sex offender. Since there are gradations of sex offence just as their are gradations of "ordinary" criminal violence, I think this is truly appalling idea.
Anyway, short of withdrawing from the EU, the death penalty isn't coming back here. And if every offender is going to get two trials (with presumably two appeals, four judges and four juries and four sets of QCs and solicitors, not to mention vastly more time spent on remand), justice is going to be even more expensive for the taxpayer than it already is.
PS: Voluntary chemical castration is actually a very good idea - it would probably be more popular with prisoners than the general public suspects.
I'd hate to see the same as Iraq happen where terrorist activities have increased through similar techniques. It would be foolish to do without a court process. If there is no trial that is shown first then many people could think it's targeted at them, if they were to share similarities, which could cause them to flip and kill or suicide. I guess you could do the same to them also but then the same may happen. I guess my point being a lot of people think they do good in societies etc because they continually look for their credits, which are there.. along with the many more debits they never see.
