I'm all for fresh insight. I look for it every day, but I reject all new stuff that I don't believe fits the truth questions. If it is a new look into something I know is true, yeah, if its a new look that contradicts something I believe is accurate, then only one of them is right and needs to be examined because all truth will align with all other truth they will never contradict themselves, my understanding could be flawed, but truth doesn't ever do that.

So this view of rejecting new insight, is that code for I accept anything no matter if it is true or not?

I gave you specific causes for accepting and rejecting anything new. You can ignore all that as you wish.

Those in the most danger are those with just enough religion to 'feel' they got their bases covered without ever getting to Christ personally. From that group of people, many realize what is going on and have to choose, find Christ or walk away from the fake, unrealistic life they were living.
What happens to people who believe in Jesus [but only "up to a point" as you put it] after they die?

You'll have to be more clear here. Do you mean people who believe in Jesus or people who don't believe in Jesus?

I mean the people KellyJay is referring to when he describes them as believing in Jesus up to a point. As I understand it, they are people who absolutely DO believe in Jesus but, as KellyJay puts it, they believe "without ever getting to Christ personally".

If they hear the words from Jesus on the day of judgment, depart from I never knew you, after they give Christ a list of all the things they did in His name, they get cast into Hell. If it is based upon us, our righteousness will fall short; none of us are good enough, which is why all of us require the grace of God. You can do all the good works you want in His name; it will not matter if you are not in Christ. Our salvation and sanctification are all from God; it has to be for only He is holy and good; if you think your righteousness is good enough, that will be tested on the day of judgment, not a good time to find out you were wrong.

Matthew 7:23
And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

John 15:4-6
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.

I am not talking about atheists like me, KellyJay. I am talking about people who DO believe in Jesus.
