@kellyjay saidAre you seriously saying that Satan is trapped in hell for thousands of years and cannot escape ? That is a new one.
Hell was designed for Satan not us, but since we sided with him, those that did will share his fate.
@kellyjay saidYou have already stated that there are gaps in the fossil record, which you have used to reject the idea of evolution. You contradict yourself. So what do you think happened between one species and another? You are still dodging the question.
I don’t believe that there are gaps in the fossil record because I reject the notion of a common ancestor. Therefore we don’t see what never was there, and since the process is not on going, we don’t see all the not quite the same life here today, which we should if true.
By the way, 'not quite the same life here today' is everywhere around us, as I have already demonstrated.
@indonesia-phil saidThere are gaps in the fossil record, there are missing lifeforms today if evolutionary processes were at work taking us from the single lifeform to all we see today. Small changes over time don't produce fully developed lifeforms that spring up then disappear in one time period, and other completely different lifeforms spring up and disappear in other time periods! Moreover, today if this process was still going on, there should be various life at its zenith due to change, and everything not quite there because the mutations didn't affect them, but they would still here because they didn't die off.

We don't see that in any lifeform, and there has never been anything, at any time, any where that suggests that was ever the case in any fossil record. I'm not contradicting myself. If evolution were true there are gaps, huge gaps without explanation. You can point to millions of years ago and say well it happened so slow you don't see it, but if that were really the case we should see it in reality today, all around us. My belief can be seen by looking out my window, all life was made at the same time and each lifeform didn't evolve through time they remain unique according to their kinds. Your beliefs has be believed because someone looks at a rock and tells you something about that rock occurred millions of years ago. If the evidence around today doesn't point to small changes over time altering all life a little at a time, why defend and believe it? Just because of some so called million year old rocks?
@indonesia-phil saidSmall changes in life are just that, very small changes! You don't go from ape to man in a generation! Small changes in DNA are not pronounced they alter a little here, a little there, you don't get a immune system with a single tweak of DNA due to natural selection, you don't get a circulatory system with one tweak of DNA, you don't go from a single sex to male and female in one tweak of DNA. You don't get all of the pairs of every male and female sex of all species getting compatible alterations throughout millions of years. YET, if that were true there would be a huge string of life resembling all of these small changes still here today, instead of the unique life we see today, where common design can give us like features instead of common ancestors.

There would not be for example if true an ape, bigfoot, and man there would be all of that plus every small alteration between each still running around. Life doesn't just kill off something because of a small upgrade in DNA, unless you want to credit the fossil fairy for looking for such changes and taking out the older models.
@indonesia-phil saidUnless you are attempting to suggest a small upgrade in DNA no matter how small by default means the new generation lives on and the old one dies off what you are suggesting doesn't address my point. A small change in DNA doesn't produce some new creature it produces the same one with a small change, and if you string these all together, there should be a long line of life running around all with a small alteration of DNA a little different from one another.
I wasn't talking about fossils in this post. There is plenty of evidence for primitive hominids predating humans, as there is plenty of evidence of closely related species, as I made clear in my previous post. DNA can be analyzed to see how closely related species are.
I don't think you understand how natural selection works. Small changes in DNA which can ult ...[text shortened]... time, what is your explanation for the gaps in the fossil record? Why are you ducking this question?
Unique life can resemble each other without being closely related, especially if you are only looking at various features that might look alike. The looking alike is another feature of common design!
@kellyjay saidYour ignorance is astonishing.

Decades and indeed centuries of research have led us to our present understanding of the natural world, undertaken by dedicated researchers and scientists, in the quest to further our knowledge. I have said nothing in this thread which could not have been said by a conscientious 15 year old, and yet you fail to understand even that.
Instead you believe the writings of people written over two thousand years ago, before there was any understanding of genetics, DNA, natural selection, or so many of the scientific methods or disciplines that we have now. Noah put all of the animals in the ark, I mean really?
I refer you to number 1 of my post on page 68 of this thread. There you are.
@indonesia-phil saidHow long you believed something that isn't validated by what we see around us today, doesn't add to its validity. Neither did it answer the reasons for my complaint against what you have said. Disagreement doesn't mean not understanding, if I think your beliefs are not valid and give you reasons, address the reasons. You have not, instead you address me, why is that?

My beliefs from scripture are validated by what I see around me, yours are not when it comes to life.
Love me or I will torture you forever is the mantra of your god.
Can't you just feel the love dripping from this character.
" I love you SO MUCH. So just do whatever you want. Its all good. There is no law in this universe. There's no accounting for anything done."
Can't you feel the love dripping from this character ?
@sonship saidDo all believers in a creator God get "saved" or are some of them - many of them - going to get brutalized without end with inexplicably cruel supernatural violence?

@KellyJay
What on earth does this mean?
Small changes over time don't produce fully developed lifeforms that spring up then disappear in one time period, and other completely different lifeforms spring up and disappear in other time periods.
Examples if you will please.
