On the contrary having pagan festivals so that you need a reminder to demonstrate love and generosity to your children is completely unnecessary. If you need those to remind you to demonstrate love and generosity to your children then I would have a serious look at myself. We wont be taking any lessons from pagans on how to show love and affection to our children. 4SURE.

Thankyou Captain divesgeester has a history of using children to put the boot in where he can.

On the contrary you are living proof of the validity of my statement. How anyone can spend twenty years as an alleged Christian and remain biblically illiterate is incredible.
The issue is not me - I don't claim to be a Christian and don't post as one - the issue is what do you mean one day when you say "I don't have any current belief" about X and Y, and then a couple of days later you DO have a belief about X and Y. Had you forgotten what you'd said a couple of days ago?

The issue is not me either but you seek to make it personal at every turn and when you get a taste of your own medicine you baulk at it. I am uninterested in your petty arguments. If you have anything to say with regard to the prophecy at Matthew 24 then let it be heard otherwise I am not interested.

The only sense in which my question and observation to you are "personal" is that they are about what you yourself personally have claimed on this thread and the inconsistency you demonstrate. You ought to take personal responsibility for the things you say.

Regarding Matthew 24, a few pages ago you said that you did not have any belief regarding the link between "the generation that was alive in 1914 and the great tribulation" and when asked about the JW leadership's teaching on the link you said you were "aware" of it but "neither accept or reject" it and it was "entirely possible" you might reject it.

And yet here you are now saying you don't think the teaching is wrong and that the year 1914 does have something to do with "great tribulation". It doesn't add up, robbie. Which is it to be?

So you have actually nothing to say with regard to Matthew 24, thanks when you do let me know, uninterested in your petty arguments. They are meaningless drivel and belong in the general forum.

Well the whole things is about Matthew 24. And the OP said "The end is nigh". That's why you are being asked the question you are being asked. We are on topic.

Were you being truthful on page 4 when you said "I don't have any current belief about it", when asked about "the generation that was alive in 1914 and the great tribulation"?
