Religion/faith/delusion/hallucination all these things are being
better understood by psychologists and neuro-scientists.

One day soon your delusions will be completely explainable.
Is that so?

Science will soon have a machine that can detect the presence of God? Or even the absence of God? Are you joking?!

Even state of the Art psycho/neuro-science is no where near knowing how the brain works. Sketchy at best. Scientists are always trying to pass the idea off on everyone delusional enough to believe it is "close to understanding" something or other. Heard it all my life.

To tell the truth, I think we knew more before we knew anything.

Can't be. I'm not saying the brain doesn't play a role in the function of the whole person, but the spirit is invisible to the senses and detection by mechanical device.

Sounds like I know what I'm talking about doesn't it? 🙄

But seriously, who else but God knows? After all He is the one that designed us. The spirit of the man is designed to be the means by which man interfaces with his creator.

The physical body is designed to give us world conscientiousness. The 5 physical senses. The brain is the organ that gathers the inputs from the world around us.
The soul is that part of us that gives us self awareness.
The spirit is the part of us that gives us God awareness.

Put it all together. We are a remarkable creature to say the least!

Apart from you . Who has said that?

Invisible and undetectable ... sounds a lot like non-existent.

Well it seems that some of us lack a spirit.

do we lack it or are we just not aware of it?

Maybe because some men, like evolutionists, are ignorant. 😏

Invisible and undetectable...by the senses.

"... sounds a lot like non-existent."

Don't be silly. You know as well as I that there are many things that exist that our senses can't detect.

God is invisible. Have you seen or heard God? Not with your physical senses you haven't. God is known by the spirit. That's just the way it is contrary to how it must rankle your sensibilities. 😉

You have a spirit, and a soul just as surely as you have a physical body.

If you want to know God, then your spirit needs to be awakened.

Ephesians 5:13,14
But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

Sorry, but I simply don't believe you. Its as ridiculous to me as if it would be to you if I was to tell you that the reason you can't see fairies is because you don't say 'I believe in fairies' every morning. And maybe the queen fairy needs to sprinkle some fairy dust in your eyes.

Bad analogy.

It would be more like you telling me I will cease to exist when I die because science says so. 😕

With the aid of technology we can detect everything we currently know to exist.

God is invisible? So is that pink unicorn looking over your shoulder.

Don't be silly.

I would never tell you that. I would instead present the evidence and let you decide for yourself. I actually think you know where the evidence points because if I were to try and discuss the topic you would run for the hills. It is one of the topics that theists avoid like the plague.
