As an example, something hilarious (or as the piece calls it, fascinating) happened with Hakeem Jeffries. In 2000 he ran a strong challenge in a Democratic primary for the New York state assembly and planned to run again in 2002, but the democrats had done something "interesting" to the map. they carved out the block which had Jeffries house from assembly district 57. A lot of people were hoping to vote for him but apparently they didn't live in the right district anymore. In his words, "Brooklyn politics can be pretty rough but that move was "gangstah""

Gerrymandering is commonly viewed as republican (by democracts). So next time a democrat whines about it, be sure to throw this story (and many others) in his face while mocking him.

most democracies are republics, you dumbass. they still obey the one rule democracies should follow: all votes are equal.

the UK is a monarchy and is more democratic than you.

Why do you reckon that the Founding Fathers set up a Republic instead of a Democracy?

What about democracy were the wary of or where they just stupid?

you don't compare the two any more than you compare apples and pies. Apples are not pies. Pies are not apples though sometimes some are made with apples.

North Korea is a republic but it's not a democracy. France is a republic and a democracy. UK is a democracy but not a republic. Get it?

I see, now we are comparing democracy and a republic to apple and pies?

Please stop or you will make my head explode.

Then you say the UK is a democracy after saying it is a monarchy previously?

Again, please stop or my head may explode.

As for NK, how do you distinguish between a republic and a dictatorship?

i don't give a flying turd what a bunch of slavers thought 200+ years ago. They probably thought most of their fellow americans are too stupid to be trusted with an actual vote.

heh you don't think the UK is a democracy? you are freakin hilarious, as always

they are not exclusive. how do you now get it yet?
a republic can be a dictatorship.
    a republic can be democratic.

    from wikipedia:
"A republic (Latin: res publica) is a form of government in which the country is considered a "public matter" – not the private concern or property of the rulers – and where offices of state are elected or appointed, rather than inherited. It is a government where the head of state is not a monarch"
that's it. you can be the worst dictatorship and still be a republic.

The UK is a parliamentary democracy with a tourist attraction/reality show that could be called Dynastyland.

    But Hillary got more votes.

Doesn't that make her the populist?
