Well, same happens in the West.

In Mexico, for example, protestants are still persecuted by Catholics

And 'they' got even more intolerant after the right wing ultra Catholic rats got to power.

Ignore shav he says things like that all the time to make people mad. In person he's probably one of the meekest and most inoffensive people you'd ever meet. Because he knows what will happen to him if he's not.

But, of course, if some newspaper in Denmark publishes a cartoon that they don't like, it's cause for World War III.

The distinction, in my mind, is whether this is a state-run systematic murder of christians (as it was, in roman times), or if it's an isolated incident of mob rule. Seems like this is the latter case.

Maybe not from that link, but I know a lot of emperors did kill them in groups, just for practicing their Religion!

    I am anti-Christian.
But, then again, I'm pretty much anti-Jew, anti-Moslim, anti-Hindu and anti-every other bloody moronic set of beliefs outside the realm of one's own home or fantasy films starring hobbits.

Now, what those Christians (or any other faith) do inside their heads and their own homes... hell... they can screw goats and each other (so long as they're consenting adults) for all I bloody well care.

However... don't base laws, morality or education on backwards statements penned down thousands of years ago by psychotic individuals who think they saw divine beings...
