Yes, it is back: The RHP Photography Competition! In fact, it was not dead, but dreaming. It was dreaming of colours - red, blue and yellow. And that's what this round will be about. For those who know the RHP Photo Comp, this round will be a little different. The other rounds had one topic, and participants could send in up to three pictures for that topic. This time, you can send in one picture for each colour. I'd like to encourage people to participate in all three categories, but I won't reject entries for just one or two colours. Voting will be for each colour separately, plus for an overall winner. I'll decide on the exact voting procedure once I know how many pictures we will have.
In addition to the voting section, you can enter pictures you would like people to see and comment on outside the competition. Pictures for the non-voting section will be displayed on the same page, but people won't be allowed to vote for them. It's entirely up to you to decide which pictures you want to have in which section (voting / no voting), as long as you don't send more than one picture for each colour for the voting section. Send your entries to rhpphotocomp@gmail.com , together with the following information:
* Title
* Comment: Advanced editing, for example removing or adding objects, use of special effect filters or major colour adjustments, must be mentioned. Other comments, for example details about the equipment and settings, basic editing or some background info on the picture, are optional, but encouraged. If in doubt whether something is basic or advanced editing, just ask, or even better, simply give a little more information than absolutely necessary.
* Your RHP nickname (that won't be revealed before the round is over)
* Which section the picture should be in (I'll assume it's for the voting section unless otherwise stated)
Please keep the file size under 200 kB, and the picture shouldn't be higher than 1024 and wider than 768 pixels (I'd suggest 800x600).
The deadline for entering is Saturday, 16st June, 18 UT. That should be plenty of time, but if you are in time trouble, let me know, and I might postpone the deadline a little. In the non-voting section, pictures can also be added later.
The pictures will be displayed on my webspace. You can choose to have your pictures removed when the round is over. You can also choose to leave them there, but have your name (real name or RHP nick) added.
