The People of all of Nevada, not just a small part, ousted a Republican Senator and elected Jacky Rosen, a very much alive nominee of the Democratic Party. They also elected Steve Sisolak, another Democrat, Governor.

Do you find that "hilarious" as well?

So far Republicans have voted for a corpse, a pussy grabber, a racist, a sexist, a homophobe, a liar and a paedophile.

In Chicago the people there elected the son of Jesse Jackson.

Problem was, he was plum crazy. He was so crazy he could not campaign for office, but they elected him anyway. He was even too crazy and corrupt to serve in Washington that long, and that is saying something.

So considering all that we know here, were the Founding Fathers correct about limiting voting from the average man for representatives of the country?

For example, those in the Senate were appointed by state representatives, (something Progressives ended with a Constitutional amendment to have them elected directly by the people), and the electoral College was created to bypass mob rule for President, (something democrats want to abolish today)

With the limited knowledge I have of the American system I would say all representatives should be voted for by the people. I don't have a massive problem with the electoral college for government, its not ideal, in a perfect world it would reflect the popular vote. I think there are bigger problems in America than your voting system (apart from those god damn hanging chads!!).

It's a remarkable thing that right wingers are still whining about a decision by the State legislatures themselves to divest themselves of a power that occurred more than a century ago.

The Electoral College doesn't "bypass mob rule," it re-weighs the votes of the mob such that a bit smaller mob is required to rule.
